I just reinstalled Windows 11. Also deleted Edge because it's 32 bit....

same thing here.. even after disabling search indexer.. any application i start would use 100% all cores..

Why move over to Win 11? Sure its fun to test out and drive for a week or so to "see what all the fuss is about". But its a new version of Windows, its going to be buggy for a few months even after launch. My motto with a new OS is to always wait at least 6-12 months after launch to finally move over and daily drive it. Even more so with Win 11 as its basically just a pretty new UI, not much difference under hood compared to Win 10.

agrees. that's why i don't bother changing to win 11 yet. because it is in beta.

i don't want to be MS free beta tester.

None that I know of. Realtek audio drivers just got updated, but other than that, nothing.

odd, interrupts should be typically below 3% (Process Explorer)

the way task manager records them is slightly different so usually is a 0 - 01 value when seen there.

you'd need to do a performance trace with interrupt/dpc logging to see what device is spiking so much, but its likely the cpu and gpu and C/P state transitions

I reformated Windows 11 again. Strangely once I uninstalled Edge (added Chrome) everything is smooth again.

Next time check for settings inside Edge because, some month ago, MS added one more option inside Edge settings to preload Edge on system startup, so it can be started instantly, useless for those who don't use it. So using it or not Edge will be preloaded with Windows, running in the background, maybe bugged Edge running in a background was choking your CPU somehow.

No PCs near me atm so not sure how that Edge preload option is called but one thing I'm sure about is that preload option in Edge settings is located on the top of: Settings -> System

    edit
Here it is: Edge -> Settings -> System -> Startup boost

'We can't wait for you to try it'. Just that quote alone on the Edge webpage makes me want to never use it.

I'll just wait for the public release to drop sometime this month. Still on the beta version.

I don't use Edge either, I've found that option by my own fiddling with Windows Task Scheduler when I saw new Edge task appeared out of nowhere around month ago.

But to be honest Edge is way way better than IE, not that hard to beat IE these days tho

Happy FF user here btw :)

wel this is so insane..win 11 is totally broken on ryzen processor.. the cpu usage is still mostly stuck at 100%.. no matter what microsoft process starts on background.. be it indexer, or defender. it suckup all cpu to 100% while all my hdd are almost non active, which doesnt make sense..

its like the thing is encoding a video in background, or compiling windows it self
