Seems like I was delusional when I earlier guessed they would be around 500 euros. I guess they mine surprisingly well if folks are willing to pay 600 euros for cards of that level.

2021 is a forget year, as bad as 2017/2018 or even worse.
Under normal circumstances this should be a 250€ card here in Portugal.
I'll wait, and if my GPU dies I'll get a Ryzen 5600G to replace my 2600. Better than overpaying for a low end GPU.

All I got left is hope after AMD and nvidia forgot gamers who made their company's and sold most of this gen to miners for inflated prices I'll be happy to give intel my money for a gpu an a middle finger to the big boys

PC Diga, i know this shop but i never thought they were scalpers too...

But it´s very sad to see a 200€ card being sold at 600€ or more...

Consoles are looking like the future of gaming if this BS continues...

How can it be at 100 Euro more than the 6600XT that is in stock at 499 Euro max and 50 Euro less than the 6700XT?

No intel is not rhat. The only hope i have from em to swoop in and snatch a big portion of the pc gaming market is if they make 100 to 350 usd cards and actually manage to sell em at this price point ....at this point and time neither amd or nvidia offer anything at all that even sells at this price point at all .... So they will sell to all those thirsty gamers uncontested , i think in the first gen their aim should be to snatch enough marketshare so they can not be ignored by game devs. But i am day dreaming and i know it :p

While the price is kind of absurd, we can't say it's a low end card. Unless our standards for highend is 144fps 4k, in which case no cards exists able to do so on many titles. It is however still way too expensive for a midrange card. But of course, now that things are three times what they used to be, it's no wonder.

4k isnt the only high end market requirement.
Triple 1080p/1440p screens are very popular still in sim racing, 3440x1440 is very demanding and even 3840x1080 is.

It is the current gen lowest end video card AMD has available at this point in time.

This is how I think of it, my current video card is what I consider to be a lower tier medium range video card of it's time, RX 470... the video card I had prior to this was an R9 270, that was also what I consider to be a medium range video card, I paid $279 for the RX 470 and $229 for the R9 270

Now the RX 6600 I consider to be a lower tier than what I consider to be the current medium range video card, that being the RX 6700, the cheapest I have available to me being $1249... now I am not going to pay that much for a medium range video card... it is just completely outside the realms of what I consider acceptable for a medium range video card.

Then we come back to the RX 6600, which I consider to be a low end video card.. the lowest price of which is $899 and the highest price being $999

Upon me checking to double check these prices I just noticed that the store I use has brought back the RX 580 Red Dragon I had been meaning to purchase at the beginning of this year, that was just under $300 at the start of the year.... right now the card is.... well.. yeah. The prices are inflated by more than double..
