its optimal for low input lag in DX11 games with 200fps+ on fast CPU (8700k/10900k) + RX 6800 XT ?

i have ancient i7 4800MQ which is quad-core hyperthreaded processor. Depending on game, i got better "smoothed" lower input lag, rarely spikes.

Just for my knowledge, how you validate modding ? You have some specific benchmark for each API ?

I've been running your old WDDM3 drivers with TPM and Secure Boot (only problem was that almost every day I have to reset due to corrupted boot, still idk why)

What has changed in this update that you're testing with TPM and Secure boot now :D?

"Corrupted boot" I remember this happened last month on my laptop, and that's without TPM or Secure boot enabled. so i had to rollback to windows 10

This is current GCN NimeZ Dev 21.8.2 for 21.9.1 release
    • [GCN] Overclockable GPU main "kernel driver" use current latest supported build WU 27.20.15030.3002 (amdkmdag.sys)
    • [GCN] Graphics Libraries (DirectX 9, 10, 11) use current latest supported build WU 27.20.21030.1005
    • [GCN] Next-Graphics Libraries (DirectX 12) use current latest supported build from AMD 21.6.2 27.20.22001.16006
    • [GCN] OpenCL Libraries use current latest supported build WU 27.20.21030.1005
    • [GCN] Working feature AMD FRTC and AMD Link. Some gpu models will crash when using amd link especially for GCN 1.0 and this unfixable.
    • [GCN] Just finished "next-Gen WHQL Parser". Got interesting result, parser can work with dummy file just 1kb with multiple different version of drivers
    • [GCN] DCH edition, the driver should work with Secure Boot or TPM enabled
This is planned for 21.9.1 both GCN and Polaris/Vega
    • [Polaris/Vega/Navi] Just finished "next-Gen WHQL Parser". Got interesting result, parser can work with dummy file just 1kb with multiple different version of drivers
    • [Polaris/Vega] Added Mantle Support, very doubtful NAVI RX 5000 are supported since the mantle support dropped before NAVI was released, but worth to try it.

    What is next-Gen WHQL Parser?
Currently Old NimeZ uses real driver files to parse all packages into WHQL state which consume system drive usage. With Next-Gen parser, we can reduce system drive consumption, also improved parser execution.
For GCN, we use LPSV Method (Latest-Possible-Stable-Version) from Windows Update Catalog.

Will this new version already include the Mantle API for GCN?

Yes, the re-parser WHQL added to installer too. So no need to reinstall the driver to get WHQL present again.

I modified FlipQueueSize from 8 to 0. I have good CPU so I should get lower input lag with it. You can experiment with it too with regedit. This is the location: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video\{56643851-072F-11EC-AE2E-AAD9990874AE}\0007\UMD

38 00 hex number means 8 pre-rendered frames, 30 00 means 0 pre-rendered frames. To be more precise, 0 option renders 1 frame from CPU to GPU as fast as it can. It's the same setting as UltraLowLatency from Nvidia. Someone can correct me If I'm wrong.

this random number key will be different for your configuration.

Can Pro cards be added to the installer for Gaming drivers? Really hate the performance and feature set that the Pro drivers give us who have Pro cards :(

Doesn't matter, I tried it before on FirePro W4170 (variant of 8790M) using Adrenalin 21.3.2 and still use FirePro feature set. Only difference are performance slightly better than standard firepro driver.

0 is not a valid configuration for the flip, if I remember correctly the lowest it will recognize is 31 00

Gaming drivers offer MANY gaming centric features/performance benefits that the Pro drivers do not. So yes it does matter.

Overclocking/underclocking/fan/voltage control is nice as well, since its all broken in the Pro drivers.

As mentioned before, i have demonstrated firepro w4170 to works like hd 8790m (basically same chip) on Adrenaline 21.3.2, there's no difference in radeon settings and still detected as firepro feature set. Only difference gaming performance are slightly better

  15. Like what? I don't know if there's more context, but I have a RX 580, and Pro/Enterprise drivers work exactly the same as Adrenaline for me (no notable performance differences in anything from DX9 to DX12 and VK).

FlipQueueSize if I understand right is deprecated, and may only apply to DX9. Main3D is the current one that affects newer APIs. If FlipQueueSize still works nowadays, I wonder if it'd be better to just use DXVK for DX9-to-VK and then either use DXVK's built-in frame render ahead setting or to use Main3D instead.

Main3D can be set to 0-5 on the official drivers according to the Main3D_SET entry.

Also that registry entry path mentioned above may be device-specific. Radeon Control Panel lists the path under Hardware, and mine is:

    Code:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0000\UMD
Can you provide more details about this? Are you doing it though the Main3D option? If so, how are you going beyond 5?

Thanks a lot for your effort @mylipho15. Will definitely give these a try later tonight after work.

I've never installed DCH drivers, which dependencies would I need with these drivers?
