Even the desktop context icon is so outdated!

 

AH, Laptops are a completely different beast to desktop gpu's.

There are frequently on/off issues with the notebook variants because of the differing implementations on notebook motherboards, all you can do is go buy the official recommendation that you stick with the driver customized and provided by the manufacturer (if WU doesn't have a newer one)

 

With this driver Windows (11) won't start after Shut down (System starting but at the end Monitor turns off). Windows starting only after Restart.

 

Thats not specifically the driver, your system is not compatible with fast startup for some reason.

 

With 471.96 no problem with startup

 

The driver always crashes RDR2 after a few minutes of play on my RTX3070 and latest Windows 11 Dev, never faced any problem like this with any NVIDIA driver before, so back to the latest WHQL and the game is running fine for hours.

Does this driver support Shader Model 6.6?

it's for Linux applications.

 

Anyone saw new option in Nvidia Inspector called: SHADER DISK CACHE MAXIMUM SIZE?
Options are 0x00000000 / 0xFFFFFFFF / 0x00004000 (Omniverse-Kit)

Any clue what it does or does changing default 0x0 to 0xF gives any benefit??

I am using Nvidia Inspector 2.3.0.13 with latest 510.06 Drivers, on R471 drivers I didn't see this option.

It is located in section OTHER just under PREFFERED OPENGL GPU option

 

So far keepers for me i dont need to update drivers until i see a game preforming bad i also played red ded redemption 2 vulkan api for a long time and no problems here on my gtx 1060 6gb and the new wrc 10 also works fine. So far for me stable and a good driver.

 

Digital Vibrance not working with this driver. Any fixes out there?

Updated NVCL would be neat, with dark mode, DPI scaling support. Currently it looks awful on my 4K display.
MS upgraded Windows interface since XP like 5 times already and I liked all of them minus Windows 8

 

I don't spend enough time in the NVCP to give a flying fig about it... Yes, it's a bit slow and clunky, but, I set what I need when I install a new driver, and don't look at it again until the next one. If they update it, fine, but I honestly don't care if we have this one for the next ten years

As far as this driver goes, it's the usual with me, and it seems to work just like the last one did. No problems to report anyway. To be honest I don't know why I bother... ok, I was bored
