because 11 isnt recognized as a released OS yet, and is technically 10 still.

But the UWP driver recognizes Win11 - the OS from the future.

Radeon driver 21.8.2 use Windows 10 name in the ini file (WDDM 2.7), Windows 11 drivers use WDDM 3.0. which is only supported on Windows 11 which is why you see Windows 11 in Radeon Software in UWP driver.

WDDM 3.0 has been on Windows 10 since Cobalt insider release 21301

What card are you using, all of the 6000 series seem to be affected by this bug afaik.

Are you in "fast ring"/Dev channel?

    //OK, you are :)

Build 21390 is a "Cobalt", that mean lots of features are still there - Windows 11 is based on the same + new UI... so you still have WDDM 3.0 support on Windows "10"

no what i did was install the iso from uup dump and then sub to release preview channel

this version has new icons and such but same win 10 feel and imo is the smoothest version for my system also using uwp graphics drivers

    3700x x570 16gb 3600 and radeon rx 5700

    Dell 6800xt with EK block.

The only issue I have is every now and then windows installs UWP drivers and I get a radiant settings mismatch error and have to reinstall the driver to fix it.
I've read that it's an issue with Joey M cards and not regular cards. So I'm probably going to force flash a regular AMD bios on it because the Dell bios uses the exact same reference bios just modified to be a Dell one.

It does reduce tearing, nice feature. Fallout 4 is the only game I had problems with it, otherwise it's on

So does the freesync and limiting the framerate under the max refresh rate makes enhanced sync just useless.

This build is dead ended, you're going to get a green screen saying its expired soon, the 21300 branch is not being further developed

I've personally found it better than using a framerate limiter, it's also recommended by AMD together with FreeSync, which I use.

Fair enough, but I don't have a freesync monitor

win11 was specifically created to offer an enhanced scheduler for Intels new cpu architecture. And, in order to get the performance gains shown in review one would need to update to win11.

Therefore, as an AMD user I would hold off on updating until it's clear there is no performance degradation in games going from win10 to win11 once win11 is RTM. I would ignore any pre RTM releases until then.
