    Paid less than what? 6800xt?

I paid ~20000kr for my 3090 strix oc day 1. Rog mouse and game included.

Both nvidia and amd are higher price now. Looks like same price difference. Nvidia is still selling way better, so everything isn't just performance and avayability.

I can believe it. Nobody wants the AMD gpu's. I was just at Microcenter where they have hundreds of 6600's, 6700's and 6800's sitting on the shelves at msrp collecting dust without any NVidia gpu's better than a 1050 in stock...

It almost always been this way. It's a shame too, as there's nothing at all wrong with AMD GPU's.

Well, nothing wrong with RDNA2, it's just not good enough against competition :D
    Pricing - not good enough
RT performance - not good enough
DLSS couterpart - not good enough
    Availability - FAIL!

My 3090 was £1425.00 when purchased just after launch, I could almost double my money right now if I wanted too on Ebay

    Fanboi Fail!
RT really I can honestly say its hardly worth the bother at the moment
DLSS erm how about we sell a product that can do what we say it will without resorting to sleight of hand and walled in methods that means you need to buy special monitors etc remember the G Synch rubbish an extra £200.00 until AMD released a open source version.
Prices? Are actually very good the 6900xt for example at msrp vs the 3090 at msrp is only a few frames behind in some games and ahead in others yet cost £500 less ...I repeat £500.00, without the crypto idiots am sure a lot more of us me included would have a 6900xt rather than a 3090 and put that £500.00 to better use for the sake of a couple of frames

Yeah sure 6900XT was the same price as 3090 where I live before crypto boom, would you still buy the 6900XT then? RDNA2 MSRP are just mythical numbers at launch and it's not caused by crypto, it's just fake MSRP. Right now I can buy 3080Ti for 400usd cheaper than 6900XT, which is crazy because 3080Ti is faster than 6900XT in rasterization.

If you like framerates all that much, why not play games at 1080p Low settings with a rx580, instead spending thousands of dollars on a PC and then having to avoid RT games like a plague :), kinda contradictory isn't? Are you playing games at Low settings to get 300FPS yourself?

BTW why didn't you sell your 3090 and get 2 6900XT? sound like much better deal for you.

Gsync hardware is better than gsync compatible / amd free sync. Lower latency, better frame times, etc. The software versions work, just not as well.

If you don't have a monitor with e-sport g-sync nor the reaction to handle it, it really doesn't matter that it shaves off 4ms at 360Hz.
Without the e-sport g-sync option we talk 1 frame out of 360, more consistent on the graph but not noticeable at all under usage.

With it's normal price the 3080Ti would definitively be a good buy.

Dunno about other avoiding RTs, I do avoid it for a reason though.
I prefer to have my card running cool and silent (DIY watercooled), enabling RT drives temperatures up and therefor also noise, so my situation is, that I want a card powerful enough to run ultra + rt @ 1440p 60fps while keeping it's temperatures down.
My 2080S simply isn't strong enough and looking over reviews I doubt that even a 3xxx series card would do.
I only have a few RT games though, CP77, MEEE and Control.

If no one (which is the proper way to spell those words) wants one, I guess I can just go to the local store and buy an RX6000 GPU today, at MSRP, right? RIGHT?

I call BS and once again, it is no one, since the word noone does not exist.

Not constrained at all, they are producing CPU's, GPU's and consoles.

You have been lucky with Strix, here in UK finding Strix at any MSRP price was achievement hahaha, couldn't get it Strix and trust me I wanted to buy Strix, yes I have now RTX 3090 GamingPro which is not best OC'er but still would take Strix with both hands hahaha

I done build for friend with 6900XT and 5950X as well and friend is very happy, he bought his 6900XT for MSRP price (£999)

    Hope this helps

    Thanks, Jura

These days one spends 3k to use DLSS... RT is really well marketed, and that's why Nvidia still sold cards even though the prices of 2020/2021
