It's most likely that your GPU is Throttling and it's nothing to do with the drivers....probably higher temperature on GPU core or maybe on VRM.....or maybe just need more "juice"-voltage to stay on higher clock.....

This is normal, I have an rx570, the frequency also changes depending on the load on the video card. Although I think if you dig into the BIOS settings of the video card, you can configure it.

The adrenaline UWP software is automatically downloaded via Microsoft Store and no longer works. Can you update it to the new version? Thank you

Hmm, no, it's running at 100% fan at 60-65C, can't remember cuz my PC is deeeed, and about power, I'm feeding it with a 8pin connector, it should be enough, and with a 850W PSU

unlocked every limiter possible, modded the best bios... still downclocking. I was suspecting VRM for a short period of time but they were "cool" too

Best performance so far on 21.7.2 in every benchmark and games runs very smooth with R9 Fury. You doing really great job here. Im gonna test your pre-gcn drivers with my old A10 8650G + HD 7970M laptop.

It should supported, because intel mentioned rebar since Haswell-like era. Just update the motherboard bios to work with that.

Guess the laptop, is that MSI GE?

Yes, that MSI GX60. I heard there is 8970M variant too, which basically same specs but with large VRAM.

The HD 7970M performance is still comparable to 1000 series, between 1050 and 1050TI. But sadly 7970M can't keep up with that Quad-Core APU, so performance may vary if using different CPU like i7 3630QM or i7 4710MQ at that time which used on Clevo/Schenker/XMG Laptops.

You throttle a classical phenomenon with these chips.
You have a hot spot on chip that the thermal sensor cant catch.
Use new thermal paste and it will fixed 100%.
    For thermal paste read here:

Take a Look on my Proofpic. AMD Radeon R9-390+ (GCN) - Actual Driver from here v21.7.2 - SAM (Smart Access Memory) RBAR activated

    Setup: X3900, 32GB DDR4-3600 on a Gigabyte X570 Gaming X v1.1 Bios F35 (Newst)

All fine+stable+working! Thank you so mutch for this Driver! Get a early EOL to Hell! :p

    mfg

    NT:

SAM/RBAR runs only if the Bios support it!
Take care, you must frist deactivate CSM in Bios and then you activate 4G and R-Bar/SAM (Smart Access Memory) support!

If you Windows OS is installed without GBT, it will not running!!
With an old MBR system SAM (Smart Access Memory) Resizeable BAR is not working!!
