How do I leave Gsync enabled for one display but not another?

I have a Gsync monitor and a LG CX tv connected to the computer. I have it set up so that when the CX is on the monitor is off. Now I don’t always want Gsync enabled for the TV but if I disable it for the TV then it disables for the monitor too. How do I get this to work without having the configuration of both displays on at the same time?

It looks like the g-sync checkbox is a global toggle in the nvidia panel. So it looks like you can't set it per-display.

Curious though, why don't you want it always enabled on the TV?

VRR is less than ideal on the CX. It raises the near black gamma and causes a very noticeable flicker as the frame rate fluctuates. So I only enable Gsync for the cases in which I’m having trouble getting a solid 60 or 120 FPS.

    hdmi cable.
this won't work on hdmi 2.1 tv tho

    so you pretty much can't
are all your ports 2.1 ? 2.0 would solve this.

The ports are all 2.1. Either way I wouldn’t want to disable Gsync completely for the TV as there are definitely some use cases in which I find it helpful. I guess I’ll just have to deal with the headache of remembering to enable it whenever I switch back to monitor I guess.

Use MPC-HC with madvr and make the display switch to 2160p24,2160p25,2160p30 automatically in fullscreen while watching moovies. Those are outside the 40-120 VRR range, so G-Sync (and indirectly also ALLM) will disengage.
II keep G-Sync + ALLM active for the Windows desktop for low latency but I separately calibrated one picture mode for VRR and one for FRR (and the TV remembers the picture modes based on ALLM state).

My case is reversed with the Denon AVR having HDMI 1.3 and the TV having HDMI 2.1 with VRR but I think you get the picture.

Disable Instant Game Mode for the HDMI port you are using under additional picture settings on the CX, then it won't be detected as a VRR display in the Nvidia control panel.
