I already went back as far as 457.51 and mpo is disabled and I dont use monitoring tools/RGB control software.
It's the frametime thats the problem which happens to be more erratic on 1440p.About LLM I've Heard it can cause stutter so I have it on default (off) I use optimal g-sync settings which is v-sync on globally (off ingame) with a -3 max refresh rate.

Update:LLM to ultra seemes to have helped with better frametimes on warhammer 2 which is a dx11 game and Wow which is dx12.Il test some more games.I guess LLM on Ultra helps on 1440p to give better frametime?

Hm. One would think that it would be the other way around, unless you've limited your framerate. But it could be that the 9900K is unstable. Have you tried leaving it at Stock and disabling Turbo Boost and/or underclock it to see if that helps at all?

Are you able to test at 3840x2160 resolution and see what happens with frametimes there?

Are you using a PCIe riser cable? If so, can you try it without it and see if it helps?

Perhaps changing the PCIe slot could be worth a try as well if you haven't tried it yet.

I suspect low (unlike none) CPU prerender causing stutter is some kind of wrong myth that doesn't want to die. I've never seen it to cause stutter in any game, actually only the opposite. Though the Nvidia driver option shouldn't affect D3D12 and Vulkan, afaict.

    Depends on the game engine.

What is the issue there? When was the last time you checked it? Is it D3D9? If yes, then it might have been regressed in Windows 10. Try DXVK with prerenderlimit 1 via config.

Does anyone know how to enable dx12 ultimate in Windows 11? Does it require a driver support for windows 11? cause no official windows 11 driver so far, right?

    You need a RTX card.

Thanks, I thought my GPU supports DX12, apparently not the ultimate dx12 LOL

The 9900k is already at "stock" settings at 4.7ghz.I even disabled c-states/speed step as an extra step and I don't use a riser. All 4k does it give me much lower frames.Doesn't change anything else.

Also, the PCIE slot im using is 16x3.0 so its working as intended.I checked with gpuZ while playing.Yea im not changing slot just try and in hind sight I should have tried months ago when I tried all the other stuff like changing to a different 3080 and reseating cables/ram but nothing pointed it to being a pcie slot issue so I never tried and im kinda done and fed up at this point.Just want an explanation on why the frametime is more prone to erratic frametime on 1440p 165hz and its pretty much gone if I play on 1080p.

Just a reminder.WOW for example and low gpu usage games are pretty smooth frametime wise on 1440p because gpu usage is mainly around the 50-60% at worst. It's seems the combination of high gpu usage and 1440p 165hz that seems make it more prone to random 15ms-25ms spikes that 1080p doesnt suffer from.
Incase of warhammer totalwar 2 LLM ultra seems to have helped greatly as this issue on the video below is greatly reduced(On 1080p res MM Ultra is not even needed)

I recently bought an RTX card and dxdiag shows me 12.1, no ultimate. I checked dxwebsetup says its all up-to-date.

FB3 in DX11 tend to have weird stutters with driver forced to 1 frame PRL.

Didn't notice this during hundreds of hours of BF4.

Curious. What happens with your GPU/VRAM and CPU clocks when the microstutters happen? What about disk usage?

GPU clock stays at 1950mhz when it happens and VRAM never exceeds 1900mb and cpu clock is locked to 4.7 so there's no change in that.Disk usage is non existent so there's no wierd spike correlating with the frametimespike.
Also temps are all below 75c and I have all overlays/gamebar disabled just as extra added measure to reduce interference.

The only thing that seemed to really make a significant night and day difference is playing with LLM on Ultra in totalwar warhammer's case or lowering resolution to 1080p for an overall smoother frametime experience in every game.
