• VK_EXT_custom_border_color
  • This extension allows applications to specify a custom border color for when the sampler address mode VK_SAMPLER_ADDRESS_MODE_CLAMP_TO_BORDER is used.
• VK_KHR_shader_subgroup_uniform_control_flow
  • This extension exposes the availability of the SPV_KHR_subgroup_uniform_control_flow SPIR-V extension for shader modules use. The SPIR-V extension provides stronger guarantees that diverged subgroups will reconverge.
• VK_EXT_color_write_enable
  • This extension allows applications to selectively enable and disable writes to output color attachments via a pipeline dynamic state. This has the potential to reduce pipeline counts for increased efficiency.

Fixed Issues

• While playing MechWarrior 5™: Mercenaries on DirectX® 11, visual artifacts may be observed on some AMD Radeon graphics products such as Radeon RX 6000 series graphics products.
• An error message – Error 184 – may be received after running the AMD Auto-Detect and Install Updates utility program on Windows® 7 based systems.
• Adobe Substance 3D Painter™ may freeze while running this application on some AMD Radeon graphics products such as Radeon RX 6900.

Known Issues

• Some users may experience elevated memory usage by AMD User Experience Program. A temporary workaround is to opt-out of the AMD User Experience Program. Learn more from AMD here on how to opt out of the program.
• Resident Evil Village™ may experience an intermittent application hang or TDR on AMD Radeon VII graphics products in the first mission of the game.
• Enhanced Sync may cause a black screen to occur when enabled on some games and system configurations. Any users who may be experiencing issues with Enhanced Sync enabled should disable it as a temporary workaround.
• Connecting two displays with large differences in resolution/refresh rates may cause flickering on Radeon RX Vega series graphics products.
• An Oculus service error may be received on Radeon RX 5000 & 6000 series graphics products which prevents the Oculus Link setup software from running.
• Radeon performance metrics and logging features may intermittently report extremely high and incorrect memory clock values.
• If Ryzen Master is not detected in Adrenalin software after installation, a system restart may be required.
• If Blue or Black screen is observed in mobile systems, temporarily disable Enhanced sign-in
• A driver mismatch error may appear when two versions of Radeon software (Windows Store & AMD Support versions) are installed on your system. As a temporary workaround, launch the Windows Store version of Radeon software.
• AMD is investigating an issue that may cause a small impact to battery life on AMD Ryzen 5000 notebooks.
• A Blue or Black screen may be observed after updating to the latest Radeon Software. A workaround is to disable core isolation.
• AMD is investigating a D3 code that may be seen in some motherboard after updating to the latest Radeon Software.
• Lower than expected performance may be observed on select AMD Athlon™ mobile systems.

Surprised we got a secondary driver in June. Was expecting 21.7.1 but eh, I guess Doom Eternal RT patch was high profile enough.

Nothing that interesting in this driver to make me switch from 21.6.1 NimeZ modified driver.

 

Last one running great so now i can easily wait for WHQL widely tested driver....

Honestly why is the radeonsetting.exe crash still not mentioned in known issues? It seems like pretty much everyone has/had these. Was it fixed?

 

Yup still there since Radeon driver 21.3.1 to now (21.6.2), random framerate drop/stuttering for a couple of secs locks to 55 fps/115 fps with vsync on or off, four months going to five and AMD did not fix this.

Note: This happening to random people with 6000 series GPU's since 21.3.1 drivers, going back to 21.2.3 fix the problem. Microcenter Agent said this is the reason why people are returning 6000 series GPU for RTX 3000 series.

 

It was pretty much fixed with 21.6.1 atleast for me. Didnt experience and i installed it day one. 21.5.2 was awful tho.

 

anyone with no luck with the 144hz fix with previous 21.6.1 have tryed this drivers? read elsewhere some user reported they fixed it

 

Been running AMD Radeon 6800 XT and RX 590 for awhile now on two different PCs. Neither of the issues you mentioned has been observed on either of my systems.

You may want to check your system's OC, O/S, BIOS, etc...

 

Regarding those radeonsetting.exe crashes, you guys should also check VC runtimes - you may have some corrupted or old files - so you can try to reinstall VCredist packages

Just disable the compatibility advisor. It's useless.

 

It could be good but if it's just going to be 5950 and 6900XT it's not really useful anymore, profile specific suggestions but overall it's just not good as it just recommends the highest available and even for users with said hardware installed.
QT Framework update to the newest 5.x could be useful too, upgrade to 6.x perhaps even but that's a bit more work.

Chromium browser upgraded and secured would be nice as well but same as the 'suggestions' it can be disabled.

 

LOL, don't let it bother you, my 6900 XT and 3900X both do 'not meet the minimum requirement'. What is AMD trying to tell me, that I should switch to Intel and nVidia?

Compared to 21.5 these are just working as intented. You kinda need them for raytracing in doom.

Dunno bout you, but my g2 runs fine. Withe 6.1 that is. I am installing 6.2 now as saw eternal update, wanna look at it.
