Are you seeing the expected performance increases too?

    Just curious.

Though it does start to look a lot like AMD cutting support for anything below Vega on purpose with the exact driver that adds support for FSR...

statement about people upgrading their graphics cards fits right in with that, go buy new.

Bit of a low punch really, as if people could actually just go out and buy affordable graphics cards these days.

Btw anyone know when Terminator: Resistance gets FSR support patch?
Game's been on my wishlist for a while so could try FSR while at it.

Edit: nvm, Steam page shows patched yesterday, noice.

Check here 4K (via VSR) comparison, but i forgot to change size of OSD. Zoom in Top-left.

    Edit: Again problem with descriptions..

Native, Performance, Balanced, Quality, Ultra Quality.

For me, it all depends on the Vertical blanking of the monitor. Previously I had a Viewsonic 144Hz monitor and its default timing settings didn't cause max memory clock speed at 144Hz at idle on an R9 390, RX580 and a RX 5700XT over the years. But if I lowered the refresh rate down to 120Hz it would run at max speed.... On the other hand, the current AOC UW 144Hz monitor that I have causes max clock speed at idle with its default settings. Its default VB is 50 lines. I just increase it to 100 using CRU and I'm good to go.

VR in 2021? It's dead years now like 3D. Sell it.

Can you elaborate what is preventing you from using older drivers?

And where is the recommendation for upgrade?

Nice! Native 49 fps versus Ultra Quality 65 fps.
Interestingly Quality is about the same as UQ but Balanced jumps to 88 fps.

    edit: nvm...

    I agree

I did the CRU trick with the rx580 but sometime (one time of 10... or so) the system won't wake up from standby or the image resulted very dark

strange but that's how it worked, in other hands the trick worked fine

haven't tryed yet with the rx6800

What exactly? I'm curious, wanted to try it myself, but... had no time yet

Never had this problem (ACER XF270HU via DP -144/1440), with any driver version (V56+64 BIOS).

My fault, game loading some assets after changing FSR.

Here is 4K Native (via VSR), Quality and Ultra quality, now with proper description.

  12. Some 5000 and 6000 owners I believe are reporting Oculus Link not working. Works fine for me on a RX 580 though.

Yeah, though they apparently didn't check whether this works without side effects on AMD. Which is a shame, as AMD advertizes the game e.g. in Adrenalin driver installer.
The game devs could have implemented a warning that altering AF setting comes with a recompile of shaders for the next game restart while still caching under the custom path. But probably too much to ask, given the trial & error patch history.

I don't have any issues, as I do not have a Fury, but a 5700XT. I just thought that many are still using older cards due to the outlandish market we have, and puting some out to pasture now was a bit harsh. "Go out and update your graphic card." :reply: "I would, if I could, but I don't have $2K to spend on one."

So I guess Polaris is next, probably after RDNA3 release, and maybe RDNA1 too.

@Truder and i did some firestrike and score is basically the same, around 16.5k. Thats his fury nitro i dont think firy x is faster than that.

In doom eternal, vallhalla, re8 his card would take a beating despite raw power.

Low punch is a understatement, it's tone deaf
Meanwhile linux supporting those cards (and older) just fine, comment from linux contributor on reddit
And they do this without any warning, you wake up to knowing your card just lost support while also leaving a bugged driver as the legacy one. procreating awful move by AMD.

Yep, Doom Eternal ran like sh*t, particularly at the super gore nest - RE VII would also run like sh*t. That's another game that wants more than 4GB of vram let alone Village.

A friend of mine also has a 580, we did Rise of the Tomb Raider comparisons, our results are very close to each other. One of the scenes his card edges out over mine.

The performance difference between the Fury and 580 is so marginal now, when I look back in hindsight, I should have got a XFX 480 GTR.... Less power, cooler to run and wouldn't have run into vram issues.

I did a Firestrike run if you're curious to see current results
    https://www.3dmark.com/fs/25784879

My oldest Firestrike score is this one
    https://www.3dmark.com/fs/9915290

You can certainly see the driver improvement between those scores with regards to the graphics score (the older score being on my old 4690k system).

I'm really confused overall why "FSR is now supported in driver on 21.6.1".

FSR is a graphic effect, like FidelityFX CAS or hell, Nvidia's HBAO+. It works at an API level, it doesn't matter who's the OEM. HD 5870 or GTX 480 could probably run FSR in DirectX11 titles that support FSR.

Just did some runs and look score is identical lol (2700x is also very close to your 3700x) :p

This the newest 21.6.1 driver and actually highest i gotten on this card.

seems amd hasn't dropped the firepro cards into EOL status yet which is curious, since they usually do that at the same time, guess we'll see what happens when they release their 21.q2 drivers in the next few days.
