I don't have any overclocked components in my system and going back to the older driver resolved the issue for me (the error I was getting when Assasins Creed Oddysey crashed was an AMD "driver timeout error"). I submitted a trouble ticket to AMD regarding the issue. I didn't have any other problems with the newer drivers so it is disappointing to go back just to play one game. As an end-user, I don't expect any regression in compatibility with newer drivers, otherwise, it's a hassle to find the "right" driver to play the game you want to play.

Look like AMD remove Radeon Driver 21.4.1 for 6800, 6800 XT and 6900 XT users.

    No they didn't remove anything.
That is the page that appears when you click on previous drivers... 21.4.1 appears on the main page as recommended and with 21.5.2 as optional.

21.3.2 are my current drivers. I am not liking what has been posted here, as a 5700XT user that is. So there doesn't seem to be any point in updating the drivers then? May I ask is it worth it or not?

Im on 21.4.1 WHQL and it rocks :p
Do note that You'll need for some games (e.g. BFV) Close Radeon Settings from Task Manager... No longer silent crashes occur.

It's never worth updating drivers unless you have a problem with software on your current drivers, or need some feature of new drivers. When you change drivers you open up the inevitable headache of things breaking.

-- If it ain't broken, don't fix it.

I know that this isn't the-Guru-way, and alot of us like breaking things. Yet I think most of us know the value of stability too.

Been on 21.5.2 since they came out and I must say that everything works well and my games are buttery smooth.

    Zero complaints!

Anyone playing days gone with these? Does the game stutter for you?

Yes, stuttering (but mostly their "slowdown problem with game speed). Almost all Unreal Engine games stuttering (not consistently).

Gonna try without FRTC and limit of 60fps, heard could improve things. Will test now just to make my morning coffee. :)

This driver was causing exception lockups and crashes for me in AC: Valhalla. I rolled back and crashes stopped.

Days Gone is an underrated game, it's excellent and doesn't get any of the plaudits it deserves.

Some games tend to get more stuttery the closer you get to being CPU bound.

I dunno if I'm imagining it, but Metro Exodus PC EE seems to run smoother than with previous driver. I mean, I can now run the game at Ultra Quality/Water Reflections Raytraced/RT at Ultra (previously at High) and it seems to be smoother than previous runs with RT at 'High', all other settings remain the same @3840x1080.
