I thought it's not worth checking out if I played doom 2016,wrong I was

recorded avg. fps during exultia level (both parts incl. slayers gate),got 103 fps avg. @1440p ultra nightmare on 1070
how are they doing this ?

Its better than a doom 2016 in my opinion. Game do require 8gb vram at those settings.

I prefer DOOM 2016 personally.

 

Me too. Doom Eternal was too fast paced and had so much going on it kicked my butt.

 

I just preferred 2016's less "gamey" atmosphere.
I like Eternal, the dash is a nice addition. But, dislike the large, cartoony, floating pickups... miss the weapon specific pickup animations.

I started with ultra violence,and every time I enter an arena I think to myself "you can't possibly run out of health and armor here",while they keep on coming and coming faster and faster.managing resources is key in eternal,once you get the hang of replenishing health and armor from special attacks you're fine.first few crystals you gotta use for ammo or else you'll run out constantly in big encounters.
I think it's the closest to q3a I played in years,and I spent thousands of hours in arena.

I might do a nightmare run,but I'd rather enjoy it for now on ultra-violence.Nightmare might be frustrating.
