Rather seems like you should have stayed in school.

Riiiight, ok. So your point is that you want to see better advances in graphics?

Better advances? Better than what? Doesn't make any sense what so ever.

The gradual progression that battlefield games has been making in visual fidelity has been just fine. As i said, just going from bf4 to bf1 is a massive increase in visual fidelity. Bf6 will be even better looking, which means that bf4 will look ancient in comparison.

That and the fact that they will finally up the player count from 64.

Think about what I said to you before when I asked what kind of advances.

What you wrote just doesn't make any sense, simple as that. Whether that is because you worded it poorly, or that you still haven't read / understood anything remains to be seen... but im guessing the latter.

I'm not gonna bother replying any further though.

I hope it's set in modern times was what you said in a previous post on this thread....hmmmm. Maybe they should add stealth ships and laser weapons and stuff? I wouldn't be surprised if most modern military tech is still classified.

I think you will get what you're looking for. It won't be overly futuristic. I didn't mean that, but some of the weapons and equipment you see will be things they are either A)being tested currently or B)complete concepts, meaning this BF might take those concepts from real life and use them in game as per how they think they will function. That's my theory anyways. Sort of like in BF4 where we had some very unique weapons such as the jump pad things on that big snow nighttime map. Can't recall the name, but overall BF4 was close to the time, but with minor things like that.

I could argue that the leaked trailer footage is similar to BF5, where they had a woman with some sort of robotic arm. Primitive robotics, but still.

Here's hoping we get that modern and gritty feel. I do have high hopes, for both our sakes :).

I do hope for the best, but i will keep my expections realistic.

But yeah, bf4 did use some of those fantasy elements i dislike, but only in the expansion packs - like the flying tanks etc. Bf3 didnt have any of that though. Did like bf3 better in general.

Use to be a BF fan but not so much after the last couple of releases.

Frostbite looks great but character movement and weapons feel are very poor when compared to what CoD MW put out.

CoD:MW has been quite a slap in the face, as a mainly Battlefield player since the original 1942 it made me realize how DICE went way too far relying on procedural animations for its first person animations. They've taken too much artistry, animator work, out of the equation, it feels way cheaper than the incredible weapon feeling you have in cod:MW, and i'm not a weapon fanatic at all but it feels totally outclassed. .

I ditched BF when they added the lovely vaseline smear effect when suppressed. (bf3)
I bet they still use that eh?

I ditched when I was told specifically not to buy it.... pretty bold marketing plan from EA if I must say but at least it helped me get away from having Origin installed, so that was nice.

The suppression affect was heavily lowered from what it originally was... if memory serves, I haven't played 3 in quite some time, 4 was my last, stopped when they updated 4 with the only purpose being to force you to watch a full screen unskippable advertisement for the newer Battlefield EA told me not to purchase...... pretty strange way to send a mixed message, but hey this is EA after all.

I can only say positive things about battlefield, battlefield 5 wasn t the best game to say, but it definitely was a very optimized game, a gtx 1070 could easily make a 144fps mark without problems

In bf5 it is used to a very mild degree - like making you aware that you are being shot at, but doesn't hamper your ability to shoot back.

I didn't abandon the saga then.
But, I agree that this was a really stupid decision from Dice.
I hate when games do this suppression effect.

Have you played bf5 ? If so, do you find the suppression to be as bad in that game? Cause it has been toned down with every battlefield game since bf3 :)

Yes, I played BF5 for a while. Suppression is not as bad, as in BF3/4.
