We are aware of the issue in Gloomhaven, for now just use DXVK to fix the rendering errors.

 

Tested Ufo Test yesterday, after 5 minutes running:

No problem here... (and I also had GPU-Z active in the background).

 

Not here with Win 10 20H2 (build SO 19042.906). It was working with UWP drivers though, but I used AMDCleanuputility before installing 21.4.1.

 

HAGS doesn't matter at the present time, it doesn't improve performance so its just causing yourselves neurosis presently.

 

Same goes for resizable bar especially on non rdna2 hardware.

 

If you're on an insider build perhaps. Not on RTM.

 

Disagree with the way you formulated it Undying....
It works very well on RDNA2 but is really depending on the title/engine --- e.g. 15% difference in AC:Valhalla vs no difference or barely visible difference in The Division 2.
But you are right about older architectures.

 

I have Game mode and all the other stuff related to it turned off or the app uninstalled. Does nothing to help with games.

 

A small bug, sometimes the tray icon shows even if disabled on settings. Then toggling on/off gets rid of it. Haven't figured what triggers it.
Sometimes when opening the radeon settings the microphone being used icon will show on tray, but after opening the "Record & Stream" tab where microphone recording is disabled, it'll go away.

Nice to see a toggle to disable all shortcuts, pretty useful when overlay is also off.

 

I've just noticed this too. Strange. Turn on the tray option icon thingy via AMD settings, and right click the tray icon on the task bar to remove. Shouldn't reappear then.

I am tempted to try this driver, but the UWP/Insider one is working so good that It scares me to try anything else.
Though, never had an issue with previous drivers to begin with.

 

same here, never had any issues. But last UWP driver posted here gives me better performance on Metro Exodus (game I'm playing the most at the moment) than this new one, not much, about 3-5 fps (min/max/avg)

the only "problem" I'm having when playing is controlling Volume (+/-) with keyboard, when Windows Volume Pop-up shows, my fps drops to 1 and game freezes (R6 Siege) until the pop-up is gone (5 seconds), then I can continue playing.. To be honest, I don't know if its the newer driver, a game update, windows update, OSD,... anyway, it doesn't bother me too much

 

Some times i take the above in event viewer. I have reported with the driver tool. Rx580. Anyone else?

 

EDIT: Scratch my original reply about it crashing as I forgot I had forced it into dx12 at the behest of the developers to see if that fixed it. I used DXVK 1.8.1 and it renders perfectly. Thanks so much for this suggestion!

On another note, this driver definitely has a micro-stutter problem. Even though Hunt Showdown has better performance overall I am getting some bad stuttering randomly. Has anyone else enountered this?

 

@Mott you probably unzipped all .DLL files which can cause the issues with specific games.
What you need to unzip is just dxgi.dll and d3d11.dll from x64 folder.

 

@SpajdrEX can you take a look at post 94?

 

@boombastik Do you experience any issues during the gaming when this error is created in event viewer?

 

The issue you mention when controlling the volume it's the other way around for me, previous "normal" drivers caused that issue, but with the UWP ones it doesn't happen.
