Battlefield V (2018)

Most battlefield players dont care about battle royale either, so it was silly they used so many of their resources on that, rather than the traditional battlefield experience... aka more conquest maps.

With the effort that went into that stupid battle royale, we could have had 10 more conquest maps... and new maps is what this game has lacked more than anything.

 

I still find this irritating that game you pay 60$ have the same monetization as free to play game, i want to have those nice skin, but they won't get more money from me that the cost of the game.

 

Maybe they should change the pricing? I’m seeing the same thing in Modern Warfere.
In between people who paid the full price and those playing the free part of the game, different prices for cosmetics would make sense to me.
Especially when the prices are as high as they are. Why would someone pay as much for one cosmetic skin as he would pay for a full extension or large DLC?

 

A few days ago I decided to reinstall the game, to see i they had fixed the game. And what a surprise, they didn't.
The game is still a mess of a game.
Most maps are mediocre. On previous battlefields, there were always a lot of maps that I liked to play on. But on BF5, it's mostly rubbish.
There are still a lot of bugs, even 2,5 years after release.
Lots os janky animations. Lost of lag and a few deaths behind walls. Broken hitreg, time to kill and time to die.
DX12 is still a stuttery mess. And they haven't fized the horrid TAA, or at leats, give an option to disable it.

It's very obvious that EA and Dice just abandoned the game and left a skeleton crew to pump out a few maps and skins.

 

i uninstalled this game way back last year, and i don t even have any will to come back, bf4 is the only way i can play battlefield and we have a better option nowadays, with the competitor flying high

Just reinstalled this to test out my new parts, game generally runs great but after 1 map I get random stutter out of nowhere and I had this same issue with Star Wars Battlefront 2 so either I'm missing something or some new update to the frostbite engine has screwed the pooch! This in DX12, I may switch over to DX11 and see how that performs.

What's more concerning is that BF games used to be the most talked about games here ( and elsewhere ) for years and here comes BF: V and this thread hasn't seen a new post in over 9 months now, kinda telling of how badly Dice f***ed up this game. Funny how a dev tells people "if you don't like it, don't buy it!" can backfire!

 

Honestly I think most people are just over BF games in general. V obviously wasn't great but the entire genre just seems to beat to death and uninteresting. I couldn't even play through the 10 free beta hours despite having played nearly 600 hours of BF4 and for me it had nothing to do with women in the game or the devs comments.

It's starting to feel like Madden where its the same game with a new skin.

 

change the polling rate on your mouse to 250. for some reason frostbite engine doesn't like high polling rate and dx12.

 

I'll give this a shot, mines set to 1k atm.

 

Always run it in dx11 - runs way smoother than dx12

 

I know alot of people who are hyped about returning to modern battlefield - they werent tired of battlefield, but of oldtime warfare... and i feel exactly the same. Was a huge mistake doing ww1, then ww2 - should have been a modern warfare inbetween. It's been 8 years since they did a proper modern battlefield.

 

The one thing i like about battlefield v, is the performance of the game, but then again u need a 8gb vram graphics card to take advantage, 4gb vram cards are just not the way for 144hrz gameplay

Is Future frame rendering working or not with Dx12? When i had it on i get stutter fest. With off is butter smooth.

 

no, the setting is d3d11 only.

 

Just replayed again mission and this time stopped stutter.it stopped stutter after my 4 walkthrough of that mission

 

you're supposed to to keep it off with dx12 and turn it on with dx 11
