    Very nice review Hilbert.
But you shouldn't talk about the price as RTX 3060 is at 1000 Euro right now, and RX 6700XT is already out of stock after few hour aviable (and so people will make it price rise the same way)
But very interesting for when the fall will come...

...is this review right? I just watched GN's review. 6700XT is trading blows with 3070 in every title. Here it's losing everywhere. What gives?

AMD can probably do it but it just won’t be as good.

I wish nvidia/AMD could charge miners through the nose for every GPU, gt1030 at $999 until they stop buying, then drop to normal MSRP after next gen cards make current GPUs unprofitable so miners have to sell for less than that on ebay, just like those $9 xeons

isnt it something like that with server/pro vs consumer product stacks? we mere mortals get the great deal after businesses get murdered a year before, we stay a gen behind or so but who cares, this current drama is worse

For me not only is the price prohibitive but also the energy consumption. I guess one mitigating factor is the energy efficiency of todays PSU's/

That’s not as bad as Nvidia shipping GPU’s directly to mining firms.

Thats exacly is , there isn't any MSRP. AMD could as well set 200$ MSRP , it would still sell for 1000$ , in my opinion they even set it to low ,they should have put 600 or 700$ msrp , so money would at least go to AMD not scalpers , etailers etc.

It's funny how one reviews says how good the product is and other says how bad it is . Funny times in deed :)

No, it won't. The question is if the lower RT performance and lack of DLSS in hardware will harm it more than the VRAM.

Someone that got 2080ti on release is quite comfy now , well priced card :D

Remmber people selling them for 400$ before 3080 RTX release ? :D

I tend to agree, in the long run I'm quite happy I took the 2080TI. Not that my 1080TI I had before was a bad card, but it at least allows me to try and see what ray tracing effects offer, what DLSS does, without having to rely on still screenshots or compressed videos.

But hey, don't overstress such remarks, can't be that a 2080TI at 1200€ was a good buy... NEVER!
    ;)

What makes or breaks GPU buys these days is availability anyway, since whatever is offered is sold as well (besides 3090 which seem to be widely available). Same with AMD's new cards, they will be sold the second they hit inventories.

It was a flagship gpu for 1200$.
    Two years after :
Nvidia 3070 less vram 500$ beating the 2080ti - wow applause!
Amd 6700xt more vram 480$ beating the 2080ti - wtf disappointment!

3070 is mid-range. 6700 is low range. Pricing kills every argument here.

As usual, you always skew things to your biases. Most the benches 2080ti is ahead, esp at higher res.

To be honest 2080ti is ahead of 3070 as well but you see my point.

Im just saying this level of performance two years ago was 1200$. If we lived in a normal world this is actually not bad at all. Idk why all the whining.
