Man I've been lookin-looking-looking at benchmarks and all I can see is....> that's one badass "six core processor"...... somehow my government has decided I need extra money? (go figure) ...,So I'm going to spend it on a new-build! In other words, if I built my new gaming system around a 5600x is that a smart choice?
get a 5800x already instead of upgrading a six core in two years time. not saying it's better economically,I'm saying save yourself the hassle.
"It's not about that we could, is about if we should". Knock yourself off and get a 5800X. Good luck finding a GPU to pair with it.
I got to get a motherboard and ram so no!....budget is around 500-550 (processor, motherboard an ram combined....I might could stretch it further but not much. Edit: $600 is all I got.
I wouldn't be buying a 6c/12t in 2021. No chance. Unless you upgrade your CPU every other year or so.
Minimum 8-core doggie, honestly crank some of these new games up to uber and you'll see all 16 threads being used. I like plug and play so i always go intel.
Something like a 10700k, in parts of the world they go for very good price considering the times, either way good luck!
5600X is a great gaming CPU for what you wanna spend. Keep in mind we still haven't even see a full blown "next gen" game release yet and probably won't for at least another year. Also keep in mind the XSEX and PS5 need to use two of their cores to run their own OS.
I recently got a 3600 and think it's pretty amazing... 5600x would be way better than what I consider to be amazing.
Yes, even better than the 10600k. Trust me Airbud, you won't be disappointed. Edit: What board you looking at going with it?
I'm positive about this to Buddy....ryzen 5xxx IPC is totally off the chart...as far as a motherboard I have no clue?....... don't ask about a graphics card upgrade/ Lol I do have $600 duck bones for this build!....Thanks jb
What sort of features do you have on your current motherboard that you want on your next motherboard, this is how I went about choosing, just making a check list of what I want and then going through everything looking for the ones that have the features.
Yea if you look in that video I posted above the 5600X is keeping up with the 5900X in games like AC: Valhalla, Watch Dogs Legion, and even Flight Simulator. We're still quite a ways off from actually needing 8 cores or more for gaming. As for GPU's man if I was able to score a 3060 ti I was gonna sell you my 1660 ti for a hell of a deal.
If there was 5600 non x for 250$ i would say go for it but paying almost 350$ for a 6 core is just no go for me as today. That 5800x looks great but the price not so much.
https://www.newegg.com/intel-core-i5-10600k-core-i5-10th-gen/p/N82E16819118124 Best bang for your buck right now.
3600 is around 200$ also good deal but yeah 10600k is faster for a bit more. Intel undercuting amd is strange to see.
