Will post results when new bios is released for my board, or I find a beta version.

None from ASUS either, however agesa 1.2.0.0 fixed my cold boot issues and random restarts

I knew it was the mobo

Glad they finally got that fixed.

looks like the new agesa is further seperating cache lines from the IF, previously you had to get high performing ddr or tune the IF frequency to get this kind of performance.

    EDITED OP

It seemed that I had something set weird inside my current BIOS, and my L3 cache results in AIDA64 were a little off (which I thought they were) I have reset the BIOS and applied standard default settings and now my results are much better.

    In addition,

This L3 cache fix seems to be only for the AIDA64 L3 benchmark, there is no real world bug with the BIOS (or so it seems) and judging by my results it doesn't seem to effect all motherboards using AGESA 1.2.0.0

My 5950 on Asus Crosshair VIII hero is much happier on the 1.2.0.1. Was able to tighten my RAM timings and raise my negative curve offset and now am boosting to 5.1 on my perf cores. Was stuck at 5.05 and had random cold POST issues before. Nice! Idle temps are lower too by a few degrees.

So I take this applies to Ryzen 5000 series only?

now if they can some how extend it to the 2k series Nvidia cards that would be awesome.

yea i thought that was a agesa 1.2.0.2 thing, but on asus's X570 Strix-E bios the change log is

    "- Update AMD AM4 AGESA V2 PI 1.2.0.1
    - Support Smart Access Memory for Ryzen 3000 Series Processors
    - Fix the L3 cache performance in AIDA64
    - Improved system performance
    - Improved system compatibility
    - Improved memory performance"

isn't smart access memory AMD speak for resizeable bar? if so...did asus just cram that in there or...is it also a thing in 1.2.0.1 (not that i have a horse in this race, i have a ryzen 3000 but my RTX 2070S seems to not be getting support for resizeable bar, maybe when nvidia is done with the 3000 series and is feeling charitable/found a use for it as on team green it doesn't seem to do much right now even if your card is supported...which is pretty much 3060 only atm)

"Official" support, Zen 2 has been able to enable SAM for some time.
