True but Hugo Martin has said in livestreams that the DLC is basically done, they're just polishing and balancing it now. Also as this is continuation of TAG I believe there will be less trailers and less gap between trailers and release. Plus a surprise release announcement in the last livestream sounds like something good folk at id might do. Ofc it's done when it's done. Besides I'm in no rush, just did I think 4th run of TAG 1 and started surely my 10th replay of base campaign (Nightmare Extra Lives mode, I'll perhaps even attempt Ultra Nightmare next).
I imagine they're making sure to release it before 1 year anniversary as both TAGs were under "year one pass" so i assume they don't want "year one" to last longer than a year.
And I don't watch livestreams. I've never enjoyed watching streams. Watching other people play a game just... kind of bores me. Even if it's someone I really like, and they have new news. So, anything Hugo has said in streams I won't know.
If you're interested in learning about the game's development and just hearing Hugo having fun with the game and community, can recommend his game director playthrough. Can be found in full from Bethesda's YouTube channel.
Yup, full trailer already on the 17th and Hugo's last livestream is also on the 17th Release on 20th looks even more likely I think. So it was the Dark Lord on that armor thing. Well as Duke Nukem said, power armor is for pussies!
Yeah this will conclude the Sentinel/Slayer saga apparently. Though I'm sure there's going to be some form of cliffhanger or twist at the end.
NO!!!!!! THIS CAN'T COME OUT WHEN I'LL BE TOO BUSY WORKING THESE NEXT COUPLE OF MONTHS But for real, I'm stoked. Looks like the knight sentinels are back on the side of the Doom Slayer though. And the Betrayer is also pictured in the end of the trailer there. Avengers meets Doom.
If Marauders are still giving you trouble: (The portals seem to be fake, they actually spawn in behind them and just walk through. You could probably shoot at them also before they come through, at least their path finding activates only afterwards). PS not my video
I was wrong: RELEASE TOMORROW! COME ON DARK LORD YOU BIG TWAT YOU TOOK DAISY FROM ME I'VE BEEN WAITING 28 YEARS FOR THIS! Ehm.... yes, I'm pretty stoked. Not least because new enemies and locales look sick!
It's here (have the Year 1 pass) Available for purchase also from Bethesda.net, Steam purchase doesn't yet seem to be up (but you might already get it with Year 1 Pass / Deluxe edition)
And finished 1st run of TAG 2, binge played in one sitting (took me about 4...5 hours I think). Definitely easier than TAG 1 though still challenging. New enemies mix the combat loop nicely and are neat to fight. Environments are super neat and I think the arenas flow better too. Levels are perhaps a bit shorter than in TAG 1. New weapon is also fun to combo with other weapons and equipment. Ending is... interesting Probably will start 2nd run already tonight. Btw update 5 should now fix the chainsaw no target and blood punch not registering bugs. EDIT: okay, apparently the DLC doesn't want me to play it again...first run no crashes, now on second run got already 3 crashes in first level... the second Escalation encounter seems extra crash prone. Also now that I play on Nightmare perhaps on par with TAG 1 difficultywise. On UV felt easier than TAG 1 on UV.
Neat guide videos for stone imps and how to 1-cycle the final boss in some phases (spoiler warning if you haven't yet reached Dark Lord):
Yeah hi, more spamming from me (I really like this game if you couldn't tell ). Very old news but I stumbled upon this now: Spoiler Reason I post this is if anyone is yet to buy this game and hesitates because so called "professional" reviews say that the game: - has bad platforming / platforming puzzles / too much platforming - forces you to play a certain way - is not fun / is too hard / has too many upgrades / has too little or too much of X - Marauder ruins the game (yes I suppose for someone of the video's shooter "skill" it probably does) - ... know that this is the type of gameplay the review could be based upon. I just had to share this because to me this was just... well it was something. Doom Eternal is definitely not for everyone and I can even see people who like old Doom games disliking Eternal, but have some credentials to criticize at least. /rant Now I hope my new PSU arrives soon so I can resume playing this not fun, too hard game. (Pretty sure the constant crashes are due to it).
