Oh nice. SAM on a 3k series might actually alleviate some CPU related bottlenecking. Would be nice if they could pull it off for Nvidia cards too.

AMD AGESA 1.2.0.1 vs AGESA 1.2.0.0 BIOS Firmware Gaming Performance:

In addition to fixing the L3 Cache performance in AIDA64, the BIOS Firmware also improves gaming performance. We were provided with a benchmark within Shadow of The Tomb Raider where it can be seen that the 1.2.0.1 BIOS Firmware boosts the performance by up to 17% (CPU average).

Its a case of when not if.....last i heard it needs a vbios update but i dont know if Nvidia need to send samples to Msi and the and other companies or if its something the companies do them selves.

I contacted Msi regarding this, this is the ticket i opened with Msi

"Hi, will Msi be releasing a VBIOS update for my MSI 3070 gaming xtrio to support Resizable BAR. Thank you."

Pretty straight forward question, but this is the reply i received.

"I don't quite understand what you mean. I am the graphics hardware support department. What kind of help do you need from me?"

Im wondering if Nvidia have actually told the AIB`s about this feature.

Why do people keep parroting that the new AGESA fixed L3 cache performance. All they did was change how the numbers are reported by the benchmark so it represented what was felt to be closer to actual results. All they did was insert a result multiplier and then present those numbers. Effectively they just negated the whole benchmark since the results are able to be manipulated at the manufacturer's whim. People should be burning down Aida's doors because of this. Higher meaningless numbers are better...everyone knows that.
