Skimping on vram for cards that could use it and just so they can claim the opposite they throw 12gb on a very disappointing --60 card.

HD 7950 was my favorite AMD gpu of all time.
It would OC like a beast, and honestly was a great gpu all the way up till 2018, maybe 2019 depending on the title. I even still have my 7970ghz edition.

Holy moly, 3060 is a bad joke. Though it would be a nice upgrade for my GTX 780 rig. Use it for game streaming to my surface. Unless I find a 2060 cheap some how.

who cares about gfx cards? New ones never arived and the cards of GTX 10xx gen cost 2x as much as when they released... just they are years old now. Thats where we at.

I don't get the "Top pick" award??? How can it be, when inside the conclusion You wrote that the price of 470+ is unjustifiable for xx60 product!
Every reviewer should trash these cards as they are nowhere near the Nvidias 329 msrp. Like wtf? Top pick! :D Bitch please!

I dont think Nvidia was under any pressure to come out with a killer bang for the buck card. Whatever they came out with would quickly be scalped, sold out or otherwise unavailable. Same thing will happen to AMDs upcoming rx6700/xt cards.

the on;ly thing reviewers should trash is their own sponsors by marking the cards up so high.
think they would have done that by now but they of coarse never would get on newegg or other on line retailers
so show me that guy linix or the dick at gn say that, that's the real problem here its big retailers not ebay

That card is at best 329usd value. If you remember correctly GTX1060 price was 249usd (FE only was 279 or something). GTX1060 buyers are all sub 300 dollar users. This is 330usd. +50usd markup and that is considering inflation.
But the review sample was 460+ usd. And official AIB price :D
At that price there should have been only one conclusion- do not buy! Not top pick! :D What joke.

You seem to be completely oblivious to the covid tax. You cant even get a 1060 6gb for anything near sensible.

The 3060 is crap. Barely faster than the 2060 super and loosing to the 1080ti consistently. If it were a $279 MSRP it may be okay but at the current price Nvidia and all AIB’s can pound sand. They want to push everyone to console it looks like.

that is not the whole story.
computerbase and pcgh tested only games that show performance increase, but in fact amd does not use profiles for SAM,and there are many games that have negative performance impact. It's a noticeable performance increase in a well prepared review, but realistically, amd are leaving it all up to the user to test everything themselves.
second of all,no wonder 6800xt shows bigger gains,SAM shows best improvements when in cpu limited scenearios as you can clearly see (well, you don't).This would need to be 6800xt vs 3080.3060 just doesn't need it when paired with a good cpu,for 6800xt the cpu will start to bottleneck an that's where sam helps.

this is really poor how people take their news from twitter and YT headlines these days.

This! The RTX 3060 is bad in terms of gaming value, at MSRP it'd not be half bad, but at the present crazy asking price, at least here in my neck of the woods, it's baaaaaad! :(
