Trying to flash another bios for my MSI 6800XT card

That's great to hear that your issue is fixed.
Where did you get the new bios?
As far as I understood the ones which are saved by GPU-Z at techpowerup database cannot be used as they have wrong file size and would kill the card if one flashes these.

Is there also a new tool to save bios in the proper way?

 

The same tool can save the full bios file.But it can't flash 6900XT bios to 6800XT card for example.

I tried it and it can save the full 1024kb of bios on 6800XT reference card.

 

hello, i too have this problem, except my bios is causing reduced performance. i have 049 bios on my msi card. can anyone explain to me how to flash/fix the gpu, i have read this whole post, about flashing the vbios in linux to avoid mismatch id's, which linux os should i use, which bios should i use and where from as i know the ones on techpowerup are the wrong ones. im hoping msi fixes this, because this is irritating to say the least.
