• Some users reported (from here and my facebook group forum) that my driver package detected as Malware or Viruses. Don't worry, it's a False Positive. So i checked again and create a simple SFX module with different software. And it's funny because that inside sfx archive is just an icon.

Tried to install by unistalling old driver normally (no DDU), reboot, install new one (Clean Install), reboot and when finalizing driver installation I got error 1603 and installation failed. I'll give it a try with DDU later.

 

Is there any proof of any of those features being implemented, maybe some source code or even instructions as to how someone could mod their own drivers with those features?

Those features sound vague. And without source code, what's to say it's not a re-packaged official driver with some malware?

It's just modified INF with 7zip packaging tools. Doesn't use malicious like script to modify system behavior.

 

Oh, man, I so wanna test this one. I miss those days of Omega drivers and the like.

I will do a baseline with some benches with the normal drivers vs this one.

BUT.... iffy...

 

The tweaked OpenGL performance bit sounds interesting, since all the woes AMD makes us go through in emulators, 3D software and such is just a driver "feature".

 

Probability a false positive. I always using 7-zip SFX because it's smaller and faster processing than WinRAR. But it's weird, not just this package, whenever i use 7-Zip SFX Module or WinRAR SFX Module detected as false positive.

Oh, right, I totally forgot that 7z SFX module causes that false positive.

Do you plan on modding 21.2.1?
Because that one has an specific fix for my setup and can't use anything older.

 

Yes, still in development. I still don't figured out what caused regular AMD setup installation error at 1603. Recently i modded and installed without problem in latest build windows 10 (20H2) but for some reason i downgraded it to LTSC 2019 (1809). So i create CLI installation based on Microsoft PnP, the driver successfully installed alongside with AMD Adrenalin UI. Maybe i should use Windows Driver SDK from latest build to figure out the problem, even if i using older builds like 1809.

 

Anyone tried this? I don't want to get my PC hacked or something like that.

 

I've just tried and it seems it's all fine.

 

I imagine I could just compare the changed values myself, but if it's just some inf modding, I wonder if putting it up on GitHub or GitLab would be a good idea? It'd allow people to share results about different values and even new ones, along with letting less-trusting users mod their own driver from an official installer.

I used to be real into graphics driver modding back with Intel stuff years ago, but nowadays I'm not too sure if there's much that can be improved with modern cards and drivers, and I'm pretty skeptical of any unofficial drivers in an age where people sneak miners into all sorts of things; I'd rather just mod an official installer manually.

i tried , and tried turn texture filtering quality to standard too, but issue still happen.
Yes that's dmc5 . This issue appear when i play ~ 10 minutes in bloody palace . At the start, it's normal . Sorry about my bad English
BTW i gain 1.5fps in RDR2 at benchmark

 

try another game to figure out. If the problem still persist, i will figure out what's parameter causing this.
