What kind of wiring do you have? Some "not so old houses" have aluminum which is just crap. Also your house can be fine, but the line to it could be bad. Do you have any way to measure what actually comes out of the outlet?

I'm not sure, I'll try to measure maybe I have a multimeter somewhere.
    The wires are copper tho.
I should maybe mention that I'm in europe so it should be 230V.

I don't know what to do anymore.. I will try to bring it to a pc shop and test there with my and another gpu on monday.
I want to get into game dev and today when I was working in the godot engine, when I disabled vsync, 2 minutes later, black screen no signal mouse and keyboard lights turned off, pc stays on. Had to manually restart again....

So chipset drivers and uninstalling that stuff in the device manager didn't help.
Honestly I would like if the problem isn't the gpu because if I RMA another one now, I'm not sure how I'll get a new gpu all retailers are empty.

Seems the other guy solved his issue. Looks like you've had the problem even with a clean Windows install...but just shows how tricky things can be.

If you do go to a PC shop, try a Displayport connection. Guessing they could also test the card in one of their test PCs...

Yeah, things are looking weird even if you're not looking to get one of the new GPUs - 5700XTs are either sold out or nearly $900 from re-sellers(checked Amazon).

Alright at this point im 80% sure it's not a PSU/power problem. I played hitman 3 today 5 mins and it crashed to dekstop but then I played it for an hour no problems.
But then this very early prototype game I made crashed(black screen, manual restart needed) my pc twice today. It even has vsync on. And I was in it for like 10 mins max in total.

Also the pc shop was closed, so I will go tomorrow.

In my mind, that rules out a hardware problem. Try disabling the Task Scheduler service(and Windows Defender, if you didn't). If you have one, use a surge protector. I'd also try using a different power outlet.

I have been using an APC one this whole time.

All right, if you use APC, there should be no problem with the outlet. Although I find it weird that it would be HW issue as well, since it happens with both high and low load. If you look at the event viewer, what exactly is the report there about the restart? If it was just black screen, it could be a simple driver issue. In that case DDU and reinstall should fix that.

    I did, it didn't help.
    I think it's this one, https://www.apc.com/shop/hr/en/products/APC-Essential-SurgeArrest-5-oulets-230V-Germany/P-PM5-GR
I tried DDU so many times already.
It's mostly kernel power but I've had it log all sorts of WHEA errors before, and they are completely gone from event viewer now, but thankfully I saved them.

And yeah I got all of these 3 after one crash.

I had a Corsair 850w PSU that last 8 years, on a PC that is on 24/7 and used to game on also, towards the end it would play a game 5-10 minutes and then reset the PC or crash to desktop, it would also sometimes play games for an hour or two. I had another PC and pulled its PSU and sure enough the PC that was crashing ran fine, bought a new PSU for it.

It was good that I had the spare part to test/trouble shot with.

Sorry if asked but what motherboard bios version are you on?

i'd wager its a bios issue, not drivers or windows or other hardware

Well I won't be able to tell unless I try another one.
So I got my pc back from the PC shop, the guy there rebuilt it and ran 3dmark for 3 hours straight.

So I turned it on, fired up Blender. Boom, it crashed....
And then again in the Godot engine I got another crash and I was prepeared for this, I grabbed a camera and recorded it crashing very nicely, this time tho, my motherboard debug LED for the CPU was on and I got more WHEA errors.

Again all three after one crash.

    EDIT:
Whoops I meant to edit the post above, not to post again.

Anyways, my sister has a ryzen thankfully so I will be able to test.

Well, still crashing with my sister's ryzen 5...

That leaves the GPU, motherboard and PSU(although I doubt the psu is the issue)
and software??? I will try linux

hx620 thats lasted >10 years, recently i replugged the ATX cable and voltages went back over 11.9v, but its less stable than it was at 11.7v o_O

its time to replace it lol, its mainly fine until you try folding on it, or max out cpu and graphics card, then who knows when its going to hang up the system.

This issue is caused by HWInfo (surprised me too)

    Update to the latest beta

This entire topic reminds me of the post I read recently, especially since you sent it to shop and it ran fine in there.

    https://www.reddit.com/r/talesfromt...e_unhappy_life_and_sad_end_of_the_1999_dream/

But because it ran fine in the shop, I can't see how there is a problem with PC itself. So I'm again leaning more to the house wiring. It's possible (and rather typical) that nominal voltage is changing throughout the day. In some places (bad wiring in house or to your house) you might end up with low power to actually run your PC or in some cases the PSU just isn't good enough. Maybe the restarts are happening when someone in your house puts on a kettle, starts electric oven, microwave or even washing machine? Could you try running your PC on an outlet that is wired to a different circuit breaker in your house. If you are unsure which one it is then use a lamp to see which circuit breaker is for each outlet.

Also your APC just serves as surge protection, if I understand it correctly? Is it at all possible to try your PC at home with UPS, as in battery backup with defined output?

When it ran fine in the shop they just put 3dmark on loop.

Look, I can also run 3dmark home and it's gonna be stable in it. As I ran Furmark and Prime95 at the same time for an hour and It was stuttery and it was freezing the system here and there for a couple seconds but It never crashed.
It doesn't happen during high load only and If I want to I can make it crash in blender on purpose, I can repeat it (almost)as many times as I want. And it likes to crash in my very bad prototype game aswell. And it was the same on another(weaker tho) psu.

To me, it looks mostly like a gpu or a motherboard problem. I won't make the same mistake I did last time...

All I'm saying is that I will assume it's a power issue lastly, after I figure out if it's not the gpu or motherboard. But I can try my pc in a different otulet wired to another breaker.
Yeah the APC is just a surge protector, I don't have an UPS, nor do I know somone that has one.

Also I failed very horribly with linux yesterday as I am pretty much a noob when it comes to linux, I will try installing it somehow. It might all be some dumb driver issue.
