I meant on rx6000 I played the whole game on 2070S RTX on + dlss not a single crash. I don't remember the driver version though,wish I could help.They were most definitely pre-ampere though.Dunno if ampere has a stable metro rtx driver. It sucks that it's always fixing two things and breaking another one in the process,that that is where we are with drivers in 2021,nvidia and amd need to keep up with a frantic pace that games are being released and updated.Turing was exceptionally bug-free for what it was,it seems ampere has more problems even though it's an evolution of turing.I kick myself in the nuts every day for turning down a nice deal on 2080Ti lightning in anticipation of rtx 30.
Picked up playing this again. Finished WLONY and doing Manhunts and what not. Have to say skill builds are very broken atm. With a 4 piece Rigger set, cancelling your skill before it runs out or is destroyed, there is no cooldown. So an artillery cannon, striker drone, and the capacitor and challenging is not challenging anymore. Rarely fire the capacitor assault rifle. Legendary and Heroic level activities are the only challenges now. Exotics are given away way too freely now. Thought I would never give up my chatterbox but now that is even collecting dust. Funny how one is able to down drones easily but for the AI to down your drone...it is laughable. The AI just do not happen to be skilled enough to do it very well. Far as DX12 stability, something has changed because now crashes are none existent. Either patches have cured it or patches along with driver changes did the trick. I will have a single crash after first booting up the game with HDR10 enabled. Without HDR10, no crashes.
There's a reason why I keep saying you can only be sure after a few weeks of playing. The crashes are extremely random in DX12. Sometimes you can go a week with none, only to have it crash every 15 minutes the next day after. Though so far, since I got my 3090 FE and set the page file to accommodate roughly 16-18GB (Why does this game crank up the page file size this much?!) it hasn't crashed in DX12. Lowered it to allow 32GB max.
sometimes a month even, the games forum has been getting more and more reports from amd users of the crashing, so they can't sit there and claim its nvidia's fault now, maybe they'll actually contact AMD/Nvidia and work with to get a fix. Even this is a red herring, the issue is just sporadic and i can't tell if it involves network side (like the gta5 casino crashes) or the game engine is just spinning out bad data.

Cannot believe how stable DX12 is now...no crashes at all. Was a random mess before, but perfectly stable now.
Really? That's great news! Haven't played in a while but hated having to use DX11 as the fps drops were really bad.
Do not know what has changed. Patched? Driver improvement? All I know is that wanted to play for a long while before saying anything. After was able to pick up a 3070, decided to give the game a go again. Was impressed with how much better the game looked. Now the areas look too clean; not enough dirt and grime on the cars that have been wrecked and abandoned. All can say is that have not experienced a single hiccup, stutter, or crash for the last three months.
Been playing on and off since the launch. And I gotta say that graphics are still top notch. Especially, environment graphics and artistic style they worked on Washington DC and NY still looks phenomenal. Massive Entertainment has some of the best environment artists. Even after playing the latest games with the latest ray tracing renderer built-in, this game still impresses me with graphics. HDR implementation is really well done, too. I only wish they went for scRGB HDR rather than vanilla HDR10. But still, looks amazing.
Season 9 just dropped and love that they added new gear and weapons. Adding the proficiency metric is a stroke of genius which hopefully means new harder content is coming. The new Countdown mode ok. Love the tank build have had for a while. Kiting the one boss around the floor in Dark Hours is fun.
