So yesterday i updated Windows 10 to version 2004, but today i realized that my WDDM version is still 2.1, even though i did install the latest AMD Adrenalin 20.5.1 drivers.
I also have no option to enable Radeon Image Sharpening in my AMD Settings.
Does anybody know how to update the WDDM version to 2.7?

I will really appreciate your help!

    Specs:
    i5 6400
    Sapphire RX 470 8GB
    16GB DDR4
    Windows 10 2004

i will add a picture with dxdiag, winver and GPU-Z

That's because you are using remote access app and that app is using it's own virtual graphics adapter. According to "lci_proxyumd32.dll" driver you are using Splashtop.

That lci_proxyumd32.dll driver supports only WDDM2.1. Case solved

Man, if he still will be using that remote desktop app, he will still be on WDDM 2.1 because that virtual adapter driver doesn't supports higher WDDM version than 2.1

    Is that more clear now?

The problem is solved. I didn't use Splashtop, but after searching through my windows folder and registry files, i found DLLs related to a virtual graphics adapter. After uninstalling them, my WDDM version was 2.7.
    Big thanks to Krteq!

Intel(R) HD Graphics 520 only supports WDDM 2.1 due to missing required features - Shader Model etc.

There are no missing hardware features, this is artificial limitation through forced obsolescence, the hardware is capable of everything required to achieve SM 6.5

Well, those features aren't exposed by driver... I'm not sure if they are present in HW or not :)

Yeah Intel's driver support is quite bad. They usually keep doing security updates for many years (Ivy Bridge has a driver from October 2020), but don't count on getting support for new features.

Even Fermi got support for WDDM 2.3 despite hitting the minimums on the DX12 feature set tiers.

To expand and not look like an asshole, the only hardware features added to the 600 igp's is specifically video decoder related, the 500 and 600 parts have just about the same specifications for hardware feature support up to FL 12.1, the wddm limit is artificial and just a pure lack of intel being willing to specify it as a wddm 2.5+ device.

    Thanks,
Can you elaborate on this more? Could you explain me how can I identify for specific display adapter if he's missing something to be able to support version 2.7 of WDDM.
Where can I see that this feature of Sahder model is missing?

So, how can I force this display card to support WDDM 2.7?

Why does it matter? WDDM defines nothing for 99.99% of the users.
