There are so many monitors around, all do different things and some are better than others and wont be compatible with the card lol. My card is the evga 2080ti xc ultra 11gb, What would be the best monitor to go for? My budget is £350 give or take £50 depending on the monitor and best stats. Basic what im looking for is around 22" to 32" (I have been told some screen sizes are awful and wont fit the screen properly). Looking at 4k gaming, 1440p I think is 2k? and 1080p as minimum. This is a must Max available Hz 100+Hz (ive seen some monitors over 200Hz) So I need a monitor that can unlock the full potential of the GFX card. This is for high end gaming. 1st person, flight/space sims etc. I have had a look at quite a few monitors and just dont know what to go for, I have found 1/2 a dozen or so, but been told to avoid as they wont meet "requirements" or too shabby. I suggest you go for 1440p either 27" 2560x1440 Wide or better 34" 3440x1440 Ultrawide. Wisely suggest don't go for 4K. Reason as below: 4K need Windows 10 upscale and upscale make classic apps blur. Even current RTX 3080 (I am using it) also cannot get average 80fps for nearly all new games in 3440x1440 at the highest quality setting. 4K is even not possible. 1440p is sharp enough for screen size 27" or 34", it is unnecessary to go for 4K IMO. The good of 1440p: Very sharp and look nice in screen size 27" or 34" in native resolution, Windows 10 upscale is not required. Maximize full potential in highest quality setting for gaming in current gen GPU. Some reference monitor I am currently use: LG UltraGear Gaming Monitor 34" 34GN850 3440x1440 144hz (160hz OC) NanoIPS VESA HDR400. Suggest don't OC as OC will reduce the image quality from RGB 10-bit to RGB 8-bit. This is same for all monitor in market that label can OC. Use only default 144hz is best option IMO. This monitor is good in HDR, but if you prefer the top HDR output, the best option is go for OLED TV or VESA HDR600 or HDR1000 certified monitor. LG UltraGear Gaming Monitor 27" 27GL850 2560x1440 144hz NanoIPS HDR. This monitor is not VESA HDR400 certified, it is slightly low brightness in HDR and certain pure white scenes in games will display white only without texture.

Yes those monitors are nice, BUT! you better have the horse power too use it too it's full potential, that Core i9 you have just won't do it alone. You know i think you mite just regret your decision. .P.S. What kind of system do you have

Thanks, looks like ill go with the IIYAMA G-MASTER RED EAGLE GB3461WQSU-B1 34" UWQHD IPS FREESYNC 144HZ GAMING MONITOR. It`s got a black turner thats a bonus, some of these 1st person new games I have are very annoying as they made the games far to dark to make them playable, also will save the effort to cheat adjusting the gamma from 1 to 1.6 lol. Also seems a slightly better spec than the curved one, also not sure on curved, had a look at new tv`s didn't like curved ones much.
Hi, no stretch issue as the resolution will be in proper but some older games do not support Ultrawide and it will have black bar on side or stretching, but normally have way to fix it by google the game name with resolution. Ultrawide is 34" not 32" as 32" will be in wide. Below is some common size: Super Ultrawide size is 49". Ultrawide size is 29", 34", 35", 38". Wide size is 24", 27", 32".
Ultrawide monitor is better with curve. You may regret getting flat as it is too long and you will find difficult to use later. It is much enjoyable with curve for immersive feel. Another thing that monitor is only 350 cd/m² which is totally not for HDR, also it is 8-bit which is not meet HDR requirement as well. HDR required at least 400 cd/m² and 10-bit panel which can re-produce 1.07 billions color.
Thanks for info, though I already ordered it this morning. I've never had a good high end screen, so for me I won't know the difference from a top end unit to this one.
Just got the monitor today, and what a difference it makes from the old TV I was using lol. I have it atm on my old system till I buy the new, current system is a 3rd gen i7, Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 6gb with 32 ram. Only tried it on one game, and at max resolution 3440 x 1440 and set at a max of 100hz im getting a steady 30 fps, prev old TV I was getting 50 fps from a max of 75. Game is MP and not yet properly optimized, but still on this old system im still impressed lol.
With any monitor you choose, make sure it dos not use PWM for backlight dimming! At least avoid the low frequency PWM models...
