I have the same issue with my 75Hz monitor and it's not fixed! For now I use the workaround with CRU to set "the proper" timings that AMD drivers are ok with. Look at my comment HERE

    UPD.
Yes it is still with us ;)
(Note: Is somehow better now, most of the time (hammer in hand) You can see what to build and where).

For now is the fastest driver for Vega.
    No other bugs to report.

    Tested so far:
    BFV & Forza H4

When building You sometimes can't see what can be build o_O
Also includes AP_Mines for medic, can't see sometimes where to place it.

Nope. I've just tried to switch from my 142Hz (custom resolution with CVT reduced blank created with AMD Drivers) to 144Hz (original sandard resolution) and GPU PWR went up from 8W to 30W.

This is the (almost only) and biggest issue I have with AMD drivers.

This driver has a problem with "BLACK MESA - Definitive Edition".

I play the game with vsync on. With previous 20.12.1 driver I had 75 fps constantly (because my monitor is 75Hz and my 6800XT is very fast). Now with 21.1.1 I have fps varying - from very low like 3, 45, 50 to 75 max at some moments. It's not normally working vsync! With vsinc off I have 120-200 fps (constantly over 100).

Workaround is to set vsync off in the game and to use "Advanced Sync" and FRTC to 75 fps in drivers. The problem is that I can't set FRTC for one game only but it's a global setting.

I have tried other DX9 games - they have no problem with vsync (including HL2).

Is there a trick to getting the latest version to create the dlls in windows? It has instructions for creating them in linux, I can only find premade dlls in older versions. Running windows 10

The same builds of the DXVK libraries for Linux / Wine can be used on Windows. Just grab them off https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases.

Wine Proton bundles are also a good source of prebuilts. As proton builds tend to be whitelisted by anti-hack software.

I went there, it seems the newest builds (1.70 +) dont have the dlls in them but you have to create them from the files you get. I cant create them because im not running linux. I unzipped them and searched and could not find them.

Thank you so much for helping me out

Unpack dxvk1.7.3.tar.gz [rather than the source distributions] -- then check under "/dxvk-1.7.3/x64/" or x32 respectively (depending the game's bitness).

Awesome, that got me the dlls. I put them into dayz folder two ways, renaming them and not renaming them. Dayz would only launch if i renamed them and it did not seem to change anything in game. Still super low gpu usage and cpu usage. Not sure if the dxvk dlls work if you rename them to what the game wants to read

The game still gets 100+ fps, but only using 30 to 50% of the gpu. and it will go from 100 to 200 fps.

Dayz is more cpu bound than gpu and its always been the same

it is not the drivers or your hardware just the game engine

I'd rather use previous 20.12.1 driver. Anyway 21.1.1 has no any advantages (or fixes affect me) to me over the previous one.

dont use radeon settings for performance or fan control and leave it locked .. use afterburner for the curve
dont use any vram oc while on desktop browsing or it will flicker

    fan curve works perfectly now

Fan settings work just fine within the wattman there is no need for an afterburner.
