Well, that's certainly one choice.. I went with G.Skill memory for my new build too, I'm not sure if it's B-die though but the modules are made by Samsung which I was not expecting.

B-die finder is kinda handy. https://benzhaomin.github.io/bdiefinder/

So you went with 3200 then.

Yes, didn't want to overclock, I usually just look at the spec sheets and pick what is suggests as the default speed, I'm boring haha.

Just look through the memory support list for your motherboard and pick based on that, that way at least you know it's been tested and functions at the specified speed and timing, also make sure ryzen 5000 series cpu is selected when going through the list.

Looks good to me, and yep I'm seeing it on the qvl list too.

Because you said you wanted two 16gb sticks I was going to suggest the "G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32GB (2x16GB) 3200MHz CL16 DDR4" F4-3200C16D-32GTZR.... but turns out it's not on the qvl list... doh.. xD

Ye, and i also have to go by what's available in my country.

All the G.Skill 3200 2x16 kits on QVL list are 14-14-14 which costs over 300 bucks, that's just too much for the little performance gain. The three 3600 2x16 kits are odd timing numbers, which Ryzen rounds off above.

Btw, this what MemTest86 shows so far, i have obviously no idea what i'm looking at. Is it the Memory or the CPU causing the issue? Either way, i will let it fully finish for proof when i return whatever is needed to the shop i ordered from.

@TheDeeGee I don't know anything about MemTest86 sorry, someone else will have to answer this.

Currently testing 1 module in each slot, to rule out the dimm slots.

Even with 4 modules at BIOS Optimized Defaults (2400 MHz) showed errors.

The ones on the qvl list are the CL14 sticks for the 5000 series cpu, the ones you have linked too are the CL16 sticks which are not on the list when 5000 series cpu is selected on the qvl list.

When selecting 3000 series cpu then the set you selected shows on the qvl list, just felt I'd better point it out.

It's on the QVL list on G.Skill though for the B550-E Gaming.

They already shipped within 15 minutes of ordering, i have faith it works.

Anyways, how do i go about testing the curve optimizer? Do i just add a minus value and run cinebench r20 to see if it crashes?

Cuz i'm at Negative 10 now and it still works fine. I also disabled PBO Limits.

Looks like ASUS is coming out with AGESA 1.2.0.0 over the next fortnight.

    Yeah, and replacing memory :p

Anyways, my new kit will arrive tomorrow.

I keep getting this on my crappy HyperX kit:

    Reported by component: Processor Core
    Error Source: Machine Check Exception
    Error Type: Bus/Interconnect Error
Processor APIC ID: 0 (this one changes)

    Even when doing NOTHING.

Not sure if DRAM Calculator set to Hynix was tried. The setting suggestions may differ from the XMP profile.

It doesn't matter what i set, even at BIOS Optimized Defaults 2400 MHz MemTest86 spits out many errors.

I remember a friend having HyperX in the past, and had nothing but trouble as well, i should have known better.

Anyways my G.Skill set should arrive today, hopefully that will fix my problems.
