I am using Samsung QLED QE65Q80TAT with latest firmware, 1920x1080@120hz RGB full dynmic range with 12bpc depth. (I rewrote the EDID for HDMI to 2.1 in the service menu as the default HDMI was 1.2 and that was strange cause the TV support HDMI 2.1)

HDMI cable is 2.1 4k capable and according the box it has gold connectors, it could handle 4k @120hz without any issue ( not RGB just ycbcr422), anyhow I am not using 4k cause most the videos are 1080p and I think it is a waste to enable 4k with no 4k videos available.

When watching HDR video, not doubt the colors are much dimmer, in fact it makes my eyes comfortable at night, but also it is much clearer, I can see all the colors when HDR is slected.

Just it was confusing that Windows stated brighter color while it is dimmer, I think Windows should change the message to clearer or anything but not brighter.

You should run at 4K, 4K is native resolution. Even though most of your video is 1080p but nearly all TV can nicely upscaled to 4K, it look even better than original 1080p. Also this eliminate the not sharp issue as 1080p is not your TV native resolution.

As long your HDMI 2.1 cable is no issue, shouldn't have any issue output 4K 120hz in 4K TV that support 120hz or 8k 60hz in 8K TV.

I agree HDR actually make eyes comfortable. It is not clearer, Windows shouldn't call it clearer also. Haha! Calling it brighter is correct I think, as only in HDR you can adjust the HDR/SDR Brightness Balance, if you put more than 40%, it can be very bright. Windows 10 using HDR/SDR Brightness Balance to tone down in acceptable brightness level.

Anyone else still getting 4101 Crashes with "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered."? This is still happening when I am using Microsoft Edge browser viewing websites. I have a Lenovo Y740 i7-9750H with a RTX 2060.

is there a problem with hardware acceleration in nvidia cards?

Had a crash in division 2 & apex legends.

reistalled latest visual libraries - disable hw accel, seems fixed for now

    lets see how it unfolds

DX12?, division 2 dx12 has been broken since launch on both vendors in some weird ass way where it either works or it crashes every 15 minutes (that number is not consistent, its a weird game bug)

Delete settings.xml file in C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\NVIDIA Profile Inspector and relaunch app, might fix it.

that can happen, since the crashes with div2 are engine or full device tdr's.

anyone had issues with these and forza 4? cuda apps in general?

Many people don't have Windows 10 updated, use the geforce experience to update drivers and maybe their pc has other problems or software that create them.

In recent months, only very special cases were a driver issue. For example flickering with 1080 ti cards or firmware issues with some specific models of monitors.

Anyway I tried these drivers and didn't encounter any kind of problem

What sort of auto algorithm would lead to that?
Now I'm curious what the one for AMD's 21.1.1 will look like too whenever that comes out.

Haven't used the new site layout though, still the usual blue here.

EDIT: Yep just the usual NVIDIA icon.

Wonder if that's some advertisement script or something.

Cant see any reason to go for 461.09 over 460.89. No issues that apply to me.

Windows 10 had been release since 2015, this is 5 years ago and Microsoft give free update.
I think If user still using Windows 7, this probably is user issue as Windows 7 already stop supported since Jan, 2020 and now is Jan 2021. :)
