Hard to say since the Witcher games are third person and this is first person. But the further and more familiar I get with all the systems I'm enjoying it more.

mafia III de greeted me with "pc specs below minimum" screen
but then runs at 50-60 fps at 1440p ultra on gtx 1070 OC,silky smooth on a controller with gsync on.worst I've seen during the prologue was 48 fps, mostly in the 55-60 range.

ah,the prologue,it was fantastic.best of the whole trilogy by a mile.
I've heard it goes downhill from there but let me be the judge of that.

so you're telling me you can stick up a brothel with a combat knife and a shotgun, dressed as Jimmy Hendrix, while listening to Jimmy hendrix, and yet people are still finding this game uninteresting...

Didn't play Valhalla yet, but there is a lot of people saying that Valhalla is not a huge leap from Origins and Odissey, both of them stunning at times.
The water in Odyssey is , i believe, the best in any game so far.

The lighting in valhalla is what sets it apart. Also the character models are much better. Yes Odyssey had some great water, although the shader effects of the ripples are better in valhala. Valhalla's environments are to me more impressive as well.

    they nailed water,fire and clouds.
    best I've ever seen
naval battles in odyssey could've been a standalone game

    anyway,I'm loving mafia 3.
I get how people point out it's repetitive, same way fc 4 and fc5 were.
It's a lot of fun to play tho if you're into this kind of gameplay.

    and rus like crap too.
it's amazing how they botched their dx12.
there is almost no graphical change between valhalla and odyssey and yet the former runs way worse.

the formula is the same too.they just changed the setting, characters and abilities.
pass on valhalla just like fc5 until I can find them -50% off.

(Lighting and such with the dragon probably looks nicer at night, interesting little area though.)

It's the lighting changes probably more than any thing. More volumetrics for sure. Dest 2 has ran like crap since they messed with their lighting engine as well.
