Personally I don't want to hear another single f*cking news story about either RTX or RX cards until they're actually proven to exist in the physical universe.

Is there any room for the 3080ti? 3090 is barely faster than 3080 already. I guess its just a vram upgrade.

LOL The first ones are not really even here yet, not in full volume.

No. Its obvious there is a scaling issue. I bet a 3070 Ti would be really good but I also don't think we will see one until super refreshes because it likely will be right at 3080 performance levels.

Welcome to the hot mess that is Nvidia GPU offerings... TI's, Supers, 'Normals' with more ram and less cores.... and... likely ti versions with more ram as well.
On the other hand... it is ofc easy to list and 'sell' items that are virtually impossible to actually buy - how about they release a full stack ie. 3050 to 3090 and than make sure they can deliver on that instead lol.
That said, i hope a 3060ti with 10/12GB ram becomes a reality for my gaming and Blender needs :)

Why would anyone had problem with naming? We had normal, GS, GT, GTS, GTX, Ultra before.

Confused by your post attacking naming, it makes me wonder if you are new to hardware?

Just look at the 8800 series, with 8800 GS, GTS (G80), GTS 112 (G80), GTS (G92), GT, GTX and Ultra.

That was over 10 years ago.

And it's not just nvidia either.

    You've got the x800, x800 GT 128MB, X800 GT 256mb, x800 GTO 128MB, x800 GTO 256MB, x800 pro, x800 XL, x800 XT, x800 XT platinum edition

There's nothing wrong with coming out with variants of a GPU and creating price points for people to buy, or replacing a product later on in the same family.

Hopefully when the 3070 ti comes it also has 12gb vram or at very least 10gb and isnt 320w otherwise im skipping the whole 30 series

Memory bus width (RAM interface) is the same like the 10 GB version...to me 20 GB of VRAM seems like a waste of memory without increasing the bus width...

These 10GB version of RTX 3080 shouldn't be released in first place, I personally expected RTX 3080 will come with 16GB or 20GB not 10GB

20GB will helps if you do rendering, not sure how much they help in gaming but let's see

    Hope this helps

    Thanks, Jura

Release date - late January 2021. Available to the average Joe for purchase, September 2026, right after the GeForce BFD 6080 is released.

Approximately the same time as the 5th wave of COVID-23 hits.

I'll drink to that. What really pisses me off is seeing these youtubers with 100-200k subscribers with three different varients of each card.

With this article (thank you Hilbert for posting it), I'm going to say (again) that I hope a turbo edition will be released. For me, looking back over my experience, the Asus 2080ti turbo has been very satisfactory.

But considering all of the uncertainty surrounding the 30 series graphic cards, my wait for a 3080ti turbo may prove to be virtually interminable - Sorry, but I really don't like the nature of this situation.
