I actually thought that my old and trusted Acer XB271HU was dying, or maybe even worse, my 1080Ti. I only get it on the desktop on that screen. My Acer X34A doesn't show it though.

I do hope it's fixed soon, there really isn't anything available on the market to replace the GPU with anyway. I was after a 3080 but gave up on it, the seller I bought/"preordered" it from gave no info whatsoever and even was somewhat rude when asking about it so cancelled my order. Looking forward 3080Ti, going from Ti to Ti would be nice. :)

Yeah at this point I'll probably go for the Ti as well (if it is indeed coming), even though it will also be extremely hard to get, so spring 2021 at the earliest...

Not to be an ass (well kinda) but:

World Decides To Play Hopscotch With Reality> New Hardware Releases> GPU Shortage> Holiday Season> More HW Releases> More shortages> Flu And Cold Season> Transition To HAGS and RBAR Support> More Shortages> More Holidays> All During A Pandemic

    End result?

"I no understanding why almost 5 year old GPU is having issue with drivers guys. It keeps flicking my monitor."

Usually walking through these things out loud a few times alone at home helps, for me at least.

I am using these drivers and I have no flickering at all now. I was experiencing the flicker on previous versions, I did however do a full clean install using DDU.

    So:

    DDU in safe mode,
    Reboot,
    Install driver,
    Reboot.

    And now no flickering.

No he isn't, the 1080's are really old, not of this time anymore, so is mine GTX 1660 super oc.
Old but not obsolete, and still usable

Yes he is, what else the point in throwing crap around and rub salt for those affected, like it's their fault? Whatever, guess it's just a joy for some.

Thanks CPC_RedDawn, did that and flickering went away for me as well.

    Cause for the flickering:
Having a 1080Ti and idling @ 139Mhz with the 460.xx drivers (maybe a voltage vs speed curve thing that changed since 460.xx)

    Fix for the flickering:
Any idling over 139Mhz stops the flickering (i.e.: I set in the NVCP 3D Global settings @ "Prefer maximum performace" and on my build by doing so, it never goes down to 139Mhz). As an alternative, you could also use MSI Afterburner to set a custom minimum idling speed / voltages with the same result.

No more flickering, enjoy your Cyberpunk ready drivers ;)

It could be something else with my system, but chrome appears to soft lock up the system/gpu drivers. Switched to firefox for the moment to see if gets any better.

Humor is a valuable tool that can be used to soften the blow to many rhetoric based emotional realities... if the receiver has the proper social and emotional capacities. In any case, its obvious your simply ruffled because my harmless wisecrack was completely on the nose. I apologize for upsetting you.

And congrats on someone else handing you your fix.
