Known Issues

• Brightness flickering may intermittently occur in some games when Radeon™ FreeSync is enabled, and the game is set to use borderless fullscreen.
  
  
• Some displays such as the Sceptre C series or the Samsung™ Odyssey G9 series may experience an intermittent black screen on Radeon™ RX 6000 series graphics products.
  
  
• The Samsung™ Odyssey G9 C49G95T may experience display or corruption issues when set to 5120×1440@240hz.
  
  
• Metro Exodus™, Shadow of the Tomb Raider™, Battlefield™ V, and Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare may experience intermittent application crashes with DirectX® Raytracing enabled.
  
  
• Anisotropic Filtering in Radeon™ Software graphics settings is not taking effect in DirectX®9 applications on RDNA graphics products.
  
  
• Some games may experience stuttering when set to borderless fullscreen and an extended display is connected running the Netflix™ windows store application on RDNA graphics products.
  
  
• Radeon™ recording and streaming features may fail to enable on AMD Radeon™ HD 7800 series graphics products.
  
  
• Modifying the HDMI Scaling slider may cause FPS to become locked to 30.
  
  
• Oculus Link users may experience intermittent crashes on Polaris and Vega series graphics products.
  
  
• Screen flickering might be observed when using MSI Afterburner.
  
  
• Enhanced Sync may cause a black screen to occur when enabled on some games and system configurations. Any users who may be experiencing issues with Enhanced Sync enabled should disable it as a temporary workaround.

Well...there's RGB it's a thing.

Otherwise this doesn't seem to be much, going to be interesting to see what the January driver has.

 

If rgb isnt important than i dont know what is.

 

Wonderful. That makes 5 driver releases now, although I wonder if anyone outside of the two-supported GPUs can even install this? Can't see why they'd include the known-issue for unrelated specific GPUs if you couldn't use the driver.

Even moar Lame. Not having an Omega Release is really the last straw for 2020. Unless ofc you are lying.

 

I was hoping for this driver since 20.12.1 made some trouble for rx400/500 users(reddit reports). But AMD will probably release these soon for other users.

 

Why haven't we gotten our annual super duper Adrenaline revamp driver yet?

 

Was curious if I could install this driver anyway on a RX 580 (you can't, not without an inf mod anyway) and downloaded it; Device Manager shows a bunch of hardware supported, but most of it looks legacy (like HD 6000, 4250, 7670M).

I'm not aware if other drivers for modern GPUs (GCN+) normally supported legacy hardware.

We really deserve 20.12.3/4 for everyone. We aren't all fanboys to pay overpriced hardware. I am not jealous of 6800/6900 owners who cannot even enable real RayTracing in 2020-2021+. They weren't able to provide cheating like "AMD Optimized" Tessellation profiles equivalent. Omega fail.

So many Bugs emerges in new driver, those needs to be patched.
BFV Multi Bug is still here last good driver was 20.5.1 WHQL WDDM 2.7.
