Theres quite a bit going on offscreen that doesn't necessarily reduce the framerate but benefits from working across all cores.

You will notice a difference in some cpu heavy scenes.

Anyone else have their normal maps in this game look like EVERYWHERE got hosed down with astroglide? Exterior environments look like ass and I have damn near zero shadows or directional lighting. The only shadows are the ones that are cast from buildings. Otherwise, all light sources, global illumination, and ambient sources all look the same light level and super washed out or wet.

Stuffed in the newest AMD drivers. I've tried various mods and changes to config files. All graphics and video settings too. Lowering shadows, lights and illumination settings. Even messed around with the giweights.json file (which helped with the normal mapping goo but still looked terrible). I've tried looking around for this issue but I've only been able to conclude that the Xbox and PS4 are having this issue as well but I can't prove to what extent. Don't know if mine's worse or what.

I'm guessing the game is throttling down or unable to render the environment correctly. I'm using a 2600X with a MSI Vega 56 (BIOS mod to 64), DD4 3466, playing on NVME M2. Loading times are solid, FPS fluctuates between 35 to 50 FPS, playing on 21:9 3440X1440.

Anyone else experiencing this or know the cause of the issues?

It`s the same effect though - he said he can`t see a difference with the one from the control panel - but it`s the same effect.

If the GFE filter toggle works - then it doesn`t matter that the NVCP doesn`t.

Let them be, you'll only make it worse complaining.
At least we're all having fun with it, whether playing it or hating on it.

    Me too mate:oops:

I've tried several settings disabled SSR(Screen Space Reflection) disabled or literally I cranked this to Psycho or Ultra etc and absolutely no difference in FPS , usually CPU(3900X with 4.375GHz) usage is at 30-35%, FPS usually is in 52-62FPS with Reshade applied, without the Reshade I'm getting 57-66FPS that's with RTX 3090 and 3440x1440 with RT enabled and DLSS set to Quality

I have tried this SMT Hex editing and it seems my FPS literally plummeted from above 52-62FPS to 22FPS!, CPU usage with that fix is higher(60-80%) but doesn't work or benefit my Cyberpunk 2077 :(

    Hope this helps

    Thanks, Jura

I already stated, it matters by 4% of my framerate.

I wish i could play the game sadly i have to wait for the next patch to fix the hard locked arrows keys. The hex edit is to much for me and its crashing my game.

you need fast ram, 3600mhz+ CL16

I have 10500 @ 4.3ghz all core and its enough to keep good fps, but ram speed helps a lot, atm at 3963mhz CL16.

idk...I can't tell a difference between Ray Tracing off and on in the below screenshot. I've been turning it off and on for a while now kinda shrugging my shoulders and not really seeing the difference. This is at 3440x1440 no DLSS, when ray tracing is on, it is set to maximum settings. For ray tracing to be on - I have to use DLSS quality, and even then the frame rate doesnt break 70fps, with ray tracing off I see fps between 75 and 100fps.

First screenshot is RT off, second is RT on. 45fps drop on a 3090 at 3440x1440...DLSS is off in both screenshots.

On intel cpu,s anything higher then 3000 or 3200 is not really worth it in my opinion unless your system is rock solid stable. The fps is minimal anyway maybe 3 to 5 fps more from 3000 mhz to 3600 mhz and thats it.

You dont need fast ram on intel. For the ram price difference you could have bought a 10600k instead.

Found an area to really show the difference. My god that FPS loss. Bare in mind this is on a 3090 at 3440x1440 with DLSS off, all other in-game settings maxed. First shot is RTX off, second is on...I tried DLSS ultra performance, it raised the frame rate to 40...Note the GPU clock speed, pretty much top tier RTX 3090. Sure the RTX screenshot looks amazing, but thats a 54fps drop...

I payed 125€ for that 3600mhz cl16, does 4000mhz cl16 at same settings no problem, so I dont feel ripped off.

But going from 10500 to 10600k would have to pay another 50-60€, I rather invest those € in some nvme drive for now, since I will upgrade to RocketLake later.

OK I just tested again with this fix from GiHub

    https://github.com/yamashi/PerformanceOverhaulCyberpunk/releases

And finally I have seen some improvement on my AMD 3900X,not sure if this helps people with Ryzen but in my case this has helped a bit although is still not right, will wait on patches

    Hope this helps

    Thanks,Jura
