In case I'd missed it, I'm sorry, but I don't see any thread about nVidia sending an email to Steve of Hardware Unboxed, basically banning him due to what they'd perceived to be unfavorable reviews/opinions of their cards. Linus of LTT was really PO'ed and ripped nVidia a new one. Jay wasn't happy about it either....

Edit - Linus' opinion on the matter

This isn't hardware related, not directly anyway....also, it's not about politics, war, oil and is as far from being erotic as possible!;):D Anyway, if this thread proves to be inflammatory, by all means, one of the Dons here will lock it like a Mobsta!!! (see what I did there with the mob theme?)

    Agreed.
If by trouble you mean that a title like Cyberpunk will carry them for the next 6 months without them lifting a finger.

Were in the midst of a massive GPU shortage, Nvidia could post video's of them lighting puppies on fire and still sell everything they can possibly produce.

Excluding brand enthusiasts, do gamers care?

With the ruckus raised by not only LTT, Jay and many others (reviewers, and probably their subscribers), nVidia has decided to walk back on this threat...
    https://twitter.com/i/web/status/1337885741389471745

My guess is, nVidia was 'testing the water' so to say, to see if they could get away with it......

Who knows what their intent was, maybe even just a shot across the bow.
I don't think they really give a frack one way or another, especially in this market.
Also, Corps act like dicks every now and then, because, well, they're sometimes dicks..

nVidia been shady in the recent years, don't forget the GPP program they wanted to create for the "gamers".

RTX 3080 prices are skyrocketing beyond any acceptable price, the few I saw that are available costs around $1300.

If you had ever seen LTT headquarters it costs a lot of money to run. Making a living but doubt millionaire.

So, because you're part of the anti-youtuber conspiracy squad, you think that this is OK? You realise that this is the kind of thing goes out to all media outlets that don't abide by nvidia's guidance, right?
It's just harder to see how many people visit a written site than how many people view a video on youtube. Is it somehow better if they're websites that don't produce videos but write reviews? Are they inherently better?
