Only if they return tactical element of combat from ME trilogy - squad members control (powers, placement). Without that ME:A combat is plain shooter.
Andromeda should be completely eliminated from canon mass effect. Just think of it as an unfortunate time where the company got woke and hired a bunch of SJW's instead of actual talent and released the worst game they've ever made. From what i hear, they cleaned house and just kicked Casey Hudson to the curb as well. Thank god.
The problem with Milky way story is that it has to be about Sheppard, that's why Andromeda was a really nice idea. You can make completely new story. The problem was that the story was just mediocre and conversations/characters were outright horrible. I do maintain though that the game looked amazing (bar a few animation bugs) and the combat was solid. Naturally there is not really an issue with some more of the Sheppard story, but I strongly doubt that EA will not just try to release some easy cash grab to get something out the Mass Effect IP before they take it behind barn and shoot it, along with Bioware.
Well, no preorders from me. After Andromeda (and Anthem), I'll wait until I can be sure that this isn't another massive fail.
People say that in first seconds of the trailer we see two galaxies - Andromeda and Milky Way... Also Liara has wrinkles, so teaser takes place after many years of ME3 events.
That begs the question how are they going to consolidate the endings to ME3. I'd go for a slightly retconned Destroy (the most logical one from the point of what we were trying to achieve in the trilogy - end the Reaper threat), but it will most likely be some amalgam.
At (unknown) current state of studio we can hardly believe in thoughtful approach. So the teaser can be empty bait for series fans.
But it doesn't seem to go to Andromeda which is nice. Liara definitely looks old so at best certain krogan is alive and kicking. The rest...
Who knows, people also say there is "Ark 6" (or "6th") in the teaser. "That fossil? The only thing he could defeat is a glass of warm milk!" (c) Grunt
Also in one dissection of the teaser author says that studio used records from: - a Herbert Well`s radio play "The War Of The Worlds" (1938); - an Apollo 11 conversation with Houston (1969).
100%; this is what I love about Bioware games - the hybrid-real-time combat. The slick action mechanics of Andromeda in the context of the original tactical mechanics would be amazing.
to this day i enjoy the ME2 combat. that trilogy shined in other places, and the combat wasn't it's main strength at all. i have zero hopes that anyone can bring a game as good as the first or second ME games. seems impossible even with a wide budget. this is one game that i hope im 100% wrong about.
played mafia def ed.finished bioshock 2 remastered and playing 1 now. im glad this is coming out next.I wasn't interested in playing single player when these were coming out,all I played was MP shooters.
I thought there was a thread for the remasters already but it seems there isn't, just as a note this thread is for The Next Mass Effect "aka" Mass Effect 4, for some reason they didn't want to use the number 4 when they announced it, they did the same with "The Next Dragon Age"... Ohh.. that's right there is the Mass Affect is not Dead thread > https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/mass-effect-is-not-dead.424196/page-16#post-5891130
