Game is really beta. It plays like horse crap in the Xbox one x. Even an old two core pc with low tier card plays this game smooth. CDPR officially is a scammer.

It isn't "really" heavy, but some bugs are horrendous. Launch date sound be 2021.

 

As expected ... HDR in Cyberpunk is SDR converted on the fly into a HDR container.
This game was made for HDR with all the neon lights, so why CD Project Red implemented fake HDR is beyond my comprehension:


It looks better in SDR, so that is the way forward in this title

 

Hdr is BS on this game. In my g7 lights are blinding already in sdr. This game is great on its base, no need for "hdr" tag.

 

Thanks for that, I came to the same conclusion, SDR is much better.
Now I know why.

The sad thing, I refused to consider they had screwed us over like this, it had to be our equipment at fault.
They need to up front if they want to avoid angst.

 

I find it weird that on metacritic users reviews are not alowed yet it says that the game is not official released yet.
I bet that score of 90 goes down really quick when users can review the game on there.

 

The game has a solid roughness gap between SSR and RT.
The minimum roughness for surface to reflect in SSR is different than minimum roughness for surface to be reflective in RT.

This creates weird effect where some surfaces are reflective in SSR but once you get some objects out of the view, they fall back straight to cubemaps without using RT at all.

 

It probably won't get as high user ratings as witcher 3 (which has the highest user rating of all pc games i believe), but i don't think it will get hammered either. Sure, it has some bugs (none which has been gamebreaking for me), and performance is tough on lower end hardware... but really well made otherwise, eventhough your companion is rather annoying.

 

Wonder if this game proves to be a big boost to streaming platforms like Stadia and GF Now ? Lots of people getting frustrated trying to run the game on older hardware and at the same time no availability for new hardware.

I'm gonna try and test the game on GF Now but the queues for the free tier are horrendous, I know its only a fiver per month but still don't fancy subbing until I've tested it a bit.

 

Friend revealed that he managed to mess up the character creation. Told me that he must have been using keyboard to go through the options and said that he somehow did not notice the character name field. That's why his playable character is only called "V".

 

some games are considered as diamonds way after their initial release. a good example - Vampire Bloodlines. i don't know what to make of CB because im stashing it
a bit. im sure important patches and even DLC or two are on the way. as i stated earlier - the length of the game worries me because 30-40 hours for a game of this caliber is a bit disappointing. if il take The Witcher III for example.. i passed 175 hours on the main game, and maybe 35-45 hours in it's DLC's.

not the main story. a see a lot of comments about people that cleaned* the game in 40 hours. my expectations were way above 100 hours for a game of this caliber.
im not judging it yet, i will play it next summer when it's more refined.

 

I think you can't post reviews right after a game released, they wanted to get rid of ppl who didnt even play a game for longer than a couple of hours.

Yeah, witcher was released in a worse state than cyberpunk, and it still gained wide acclaim (i think it's GOAT aswell), because it at it's core it was an amazing game.

I do agree with the disappointment about game length though - i have 400 hours in witcher 3, and did close to 100% completion. But sadly they listened to n00bs QQ'ing about witcher 3 being too long...

Got me a high-end sniper and a sniper mod early on
I'm now killing higher tier NPC from afar and making good money selling their stuff
