Cool story bro but can we crack on and raise the bar with higher image fidelity already cause i'm sick of cartoon games.

A bit less stressed on my 12c Ryzen but almost the same... I agree with your result.

So it uses 6 .. 12 threads fine , if you have 8 you are doomed :D

I've run into a handful of glitches and 1 crash. But my favorite glitch had to be the one that ruined kind of a big emotional moment with some humor.

That emotional moment in the back of the cab, my game glitched; instead of a data chip being rendered, a pistol was rendered instead. I look over and the person next to me has a pistol sticking out of both sides of their head and then proceeds to yank it out and give it to me.

Best to Play w/Vega is to set at High with some tweaks (Cascaded Shadows Resolution at Medium/Low or OFF) -> 60FPS average is achievable.

Same goes for 1080Ti and similar GPUs -> Tweak and have fun, game still looking amazing at High :p

I have a problem with CPU any tweaks for that :D that quad core becoming problem for lazy devs

I can only say -> it's time for You to upgrade.
Get 3700X + some good 470x or 570x Mobo -> all You need for now, then in time You can upgrade to some 5xxx if needed.

6/12 is in the past now, only 8/16 or better is good for You :p

Doesn't matter how it would be doing, it's still be more useful than 5 same rebranded Polaris cards, as would offer some glimpse to owners of most sold Maxwell and Pascal cards.
Speaking of Witcher 3, GTX 970 been doing just great. It's been doing much better than 780 Ti. And those Polaris cards only hit that performance few years later after GTX 970. It's still was doing better in higher resolutions, despite having less VRAM.

But Cyberpunk 2077 is DX12 title and made on a new engine.

Running surprising well and smoothly on my 1080ti with i7 6800K@4.2ghz
Running the game at 1440p with high settings and I'm averaging 50fps in busy areas and it will feels very smooth with GSYNC enabled.
The game is installed on a standard HDD. I'm very impressed how smoothly it runs on my system and the game looks stunning.

I had high hopes reducing cascaded shadows would be really useful but it makes hardly any difference on my 3090, just a couple fps max.
Does this setting only give a big benefit on AMD GPUs or perhaps smaller number of cores cpus (am on 10700K)?

If you have 8, then you should have upgraded your cpu a long time ago, as that either means you are using a very low end or very old cpu. Either way you can't expect good performance in the most demanding new titles with a 4c/8t cpu...

Either they already sneaked this update in for me or its a phased rollout.
No update for me today after verifying.
No worries, it might appear later when I intend to play.

    Hard to say.
You can have RT + DLSS P and all on High (60FPS average is possible).

The 9700K is 8 core without HT, 50% more performance on the last 4 cores compared to 4c/8t.
I expect this will hold up much better.

I also wonder if they detect which cores are HT and limit what they attempt to run on those to prevent a single core maxing out / lowering framerate?

Yeah, i suspect you are right, although a 8c/16t will obviously age much better than 8c/8t.

Good question - the usage on my 6c/12t cpu is pretty much even on all threads.

For reference, with my old pc, I have on RTX Medium Preset (most settings on High) around 25-40 fps on a 4K screen with HDR enabled. So far I'm just through with the tutorial, that worked well enough.
    PC:
Intel i5 4570 (stock clock, 4 cores, no HTT)
    16 GB Ram
    new Geforce 3060Ti
    SSD as main drive
Dolby Atmos in Win10 20H2 enabled (automatic upscaling)
    4K and HDR enabled

Actually I'm quite surprised that it's even playable with RTX enabled on Medium in 4K. Didn't expect that with my old CPU and just a 3060 (3080 not yet available for normal prices here).
