Whaaaaaaaat?! That is fantastic news, makes me very happy!
Gsync does not work for me in Destiny 2 borderless window but I deal with it for my DisplayCal profile...now I don't need to. Excellent feature.

Edit: Well damn, does not work for me. Destiny 2 in fullscreen does not apply my DisplayCal profile. @fluidz You said this worked for you without changing anything else?

@ManuelG in a single monitor non g-sync config I'm reliably seeing driver crash/recover every time my monitor wakes from low power mode. black screen for 5 sec then successful recovery. does not happen after rolling back to 457.30.

Same here I have not run DDU on my systems in like 10yrs, never had an issue but I do use the "clean" option.
I think the only time I would use it is if I had real trouble or switching manufactures (NV>AMD, etc).

Well why does it work on earlier versions of nvidia drivers?

Well I can attest ddu was needed in my case. I had to boot into safe mode to do a full uninstall of the 460.79 driver! It was a recipe of death for my machine. Black screen immediately after driver was installed...
Rest pc and booted into windows only to see a black screen immediately before anything! Keep doing this til I triggered automatic recovery so I could load safe mode and let ddu do it’s work, as nvidia’s uninstall didn’t work. Sadly.

I really wish I would be able to use the new 460.79 driver but it’s buggy and not working with my machine. Which is fairly modern and updated machine. Fairly common components too. Strange how this could happen. As I’ve not had any nvidia driver issues for so many years I’ve lost count. This is really the first time since I’ve had a 480 Gtx I think? also owned 980, 780ti, 1080ti and now the 2080ti which I got sometime around aug 2019 I think.
Would love the 3090, but will wait..

Try disabling HAGS and enabling windows game mode, that's how mine is set anyways.

Yeah, I don't recall changing anything else, not off the top of my head. Nvidias "Adjust desktop colour settings" in nvcp is also working in Destiny so it wouldn't be anything to do with DisplayCal. Just to rule out a recent Destiny 2 update I even reverted the driver back to 457.51 and the colour profile instantly stopped working in Destiny. I used DDU, updated to 460.79, the colour profile worked straight away.

Check the video out. Sorry about the low quality, I recorded the screen using my cellphone.

never used ddu on my 11 year old windows 7 install, and never on windows 10 either XD

The earlier drivers didn't have DSC enabled.

DSC Firmware support for HDCP is not presently implemented, your converter uses 4 DCS streams to achieve hdmi 2.1

    Hi guys

I have a strange behavior since 460.79 : firestrike normal gpu score is very low for 3090 (44,5k , even a 3080 can achieve this gpu score without problem).
My timespy score , firestrike extreme and ultra are normal for 3090FE (21k , 25.5k et 13k) with 460.79, but since 460.79 it seems the card underperform on firestrike normal.

If I install 457.51 , my firestrike normal gpu score is ok : 50k
I know , it s not a major issue (it s minor minor minor !!! ) but if someone can do the test with his 3090 or 3080 to compare , it will be good ;)
    thank u very much

that sounds like an OC/cranked cooling score to me, 46k Graphics Score is the average for 3090

@Astyanax do you know if the latest 3080 bios fixes a bug where restarting windows leads to a distorted image on the LG C9 ? To resolve I need to disable then re-enable instant gaming response on the TV. I'm running the latest TV firmware released by LG this week.

    Thanks.

no, the bios only really controls monitors up till the point the driver takes over, i think what you're experiencing would be the on/off UEFI corruption that has come and gone for years, they introduce it again atleast once every 10 release families.
