Oh man this game really puts tears into people's eyes.

But they are not tears of joy, but tears of sorrow, when realizing how obsolete one's computer is.
I thought my once awesome GTX 1080 was still doing a fine job...

    ... not anymore. Getting 20-23 fps in UWQHD ( 3440x1440 ). Painful.

    (That's without any raytracing...)

Where all of the 8GB of vram will be enough in 2021 clowns at?

This is what I expected for the most part in performance.
And the people banking on DLSS to have a good performing experience, that is so damn sad.

I am playing on medium settings. (3440x1440) Ultra gives me 28-30 FPS average. Medium still looks pretty amazing and more importantly, it's playable.

I am hoping that this game follows the Witcher 3's path where, over time, the framerates improved pretty significantly with patches/drivers.

I've had to bump DLSS down to balanced, instead of my preferred Quality, apart from that everything else is how i want, also hoping for another patch very soon. So long as they don't nerf the game i'm happy and also hoping for some fine wine from the driver side.

My hardware retailer clutched the delivery of my new Gigabyte 3080 Gigabyte OC today. Using Ultra presets, RTX Ultra, 1440p, DLSS Quality. 8700k@4,7. Howering around +50-80FPS. Staying mostly around +60FPS, but have not payed much attention to the FPS and the game runs smooth for me

An hour in the game. 40-60 fps, mostly 50ish. 2560x1440. Using Nvidia's recommended settings (RT+Balanced DLSS). Never once saw it dip bellow 40, although I couldn't swear that it did not. Just feels smooth.
Nothing DOOM-like responsive, because there is some input/rendering lag even at 60+ fps, but smooth and without hitching even during action scenes.
8700k stock all cores at 50-60%.
All-in-all, definitely the best possible case scenario that I hoped for. Hats off to both CD PROJECT RED and Nvidia!

I'd really suggest you alter those settings - screenspace reflections on psycho quality tanks performance for barely any visual difference going from ultra. Could enable lowest tier of volumetric clouds then, and set textures to high.

Cyberpunk2077.exe has lots of "TXAA" strings.
So I guess it's unswitchable TXAA that makes GTX 1060 6GB cap at 35fps @ 1440p (unless Resolution Scaling is used, or resolution is lowered)
Seems like TXAA puts a ton of load on pixel shader pipeline.

heh... Thats not a bad advice. Did not even notice that textures are on Auto, just assumed they are High. But you know what - I've heard that those peeps at Nvidia run some supercomputer just to figure out the Optimal settings for every possible hw combo out there.
Anyway, temps are good, clocks are stable, fps is satisfactory. I think I am going to turn off AB overlay and just enjoy the game.

I'm solid 60fps with RT maxxed except RT lighting to ultra. (1440p & dlss @balanced).
    29mb update btw.
manage installation > verify /repair triggers it.

So sad that my GTX960 is not enough at medium settings. Guess I have an excuse now to buy a new gpu. ;)
