Oh yeah, sure, I'm not saying you shouldn't be pleased with having a 3090, but it's mainly for the VRAM, an extra 10-15% performance is hardly significant & even less so when considering longevity over the years.....hopefully it was for the VRAM that you bought it which does indeed increase it's longevity over the 10GB VRAM of the 3080.

I've done exactly what I wanted and am full of glee.

I'll play Cyberpunk slow and exploratory anyway, I still havent finished the 2nd DLC in Witcher 3.
If there are issues I'll play something else until its patched.
I wont need a better GPU, its gonna be great :)
There will no doubt be faster cards, shrug. It happens a lot lol.

Yeah I'm well aware, the memory is a significant part of its value.
If it was 10GB at that price I would have waited for a 3080.

ps I'm on a 5120x1440p ultrawide display, 12.5% less pixels than UHD, this card has legs with it.

2020 the year that we have the money but can't buy anything because nothing is in stock.
No GPUs, no Consoles, some tablets and phones are also out of stock, many home products are out of stock and many e-shops are temporarily closed because they can't handle the high demand.
And no I'm living in the US or any big EU country but from what I can tell the same story applies everywhere.
The lockdowns in many countries disrupted the market and the offer/demand chain.
    What a miserable year.
    Begone.

Not if Joe Biden manages to steal this election. If so we're gonna be a communist world.

the issues here are are basic as basic can be.
the main culprits for Nvidia are low yield on an orphan process, the VRAM supply, and ridiculous expectations of Samsung. the "cost savings" that were made by going to this orphaned process node have been eaten by time and newer processes (esp from Samsung themselves).

for AMD it's quite different (excepting VRAM). it's supply chain issues and ramping up scale of production.

for both you could call it teething pains, but the fact remains we are all impatient geeks.

No its not, but why do you think production values have haulted this year? There is a reason for it.. And there is a reason behind it. It's not a crime to question things..

Pardon the wording, but can somebody ban this dumbass? Not the place for it, and the level is very, very low.

Probably because of a global pandemic and not because of some dumb political conspiracy.

I don't think he should be banned but he definitely should get a warning. Politics are banned for a reason, it instantly derails the thread - which is clearly occurring here and it's more frustrating because I'd like to make a political response back but can't because again, it violates the rules.
