MSI offers a super over-engineered GeForce RTX 3090 SUPRIM X edition graphics card. Tweaked to the max, huge power delivery, and a card that remains shockingly silent for a product in this enthusiast ... MSI GeForce RTX 3090 SUPRIM X
Do I get this dude with card to power it? I have no idea why they did it. But it is great way to throw any resemblance of power efficiency into garbage.
I want to know how it performs against other 3090s, no info provided in the graphs other than the reference, despite all the other cards you have reviewed. Makes these reviews of limited use. Sorry.

I would like to see the comparison with other same chipset cards myself. But given the extra work that would be involved (to date five 3090s reviewed, eight 3080 reviewed) the reference card is a good representation of the chipset. If we are interested in how this card performs against other 3090s will can open the other 3090s reviews to get their game performance.
I was a bit blunt in my comment, I can be dead pan sometimes. I too appreciate all the effort this site makes, it is my favourite. What you suggest is what I occasionally do.
Makeshift radiator in the winter, Hell, there has to be a way to use all this excess power and turn it into something useful...
when was the last time you heard of Lightning? I think they buried it when introducing Gaming X. Which I think was the product of that AMD/NV scuffle when Nvidia asked for different branding. At least that's how I 'member.
There was a 2080ti lighning for a ridicilous 1600$. Jay reviewed it and it was a pretty bad overclocker (he blamed the silicon lottery) For me personaly best design was the 780 and 290x lightning cards. From then i dont even pay attention but in my mind i always though thats the msi flagship.
