I play on berserk(hard) and arrows suddenly become deadly. Started on normal first but it soon became too boring during raids.
Now on berserk it's a whole different game. Absolutely love it!

Berserker is getting easy now, too. Level 56 for reference. And a maxed berserker set.

 

So is the game worth it to buy now or should I just wait for them to patch out some bugs?

 

There are bugs, but not game breaking one so far. I'm really enjoying it, but I loved Odyssey.

 

It is well and truely dead bro,, name an AAA game with full sli/crossfire support

Thanks, I liked Odyssey and Origins too. Had like 150h in Odyssey, so I'll likely buy it. Minor bugs aren't really an issue for me.

 

Star wars jedi fallen order was the last game to get an official sli profile last year - had actually forgotten about that... silly as i played it with sli myself xD

 

I expected it to be similar to Odyssey just with a Viking setting, but this is a totally different game right from the start.
If you like Vikings this is the simulator you want!

PS: i went total Assassin yesterday before a raid and cleared a whole monastery full of guards without alarm. Very satisfying. So this can be played as an AC title if you have the patience to walk around slowly and lure single guards in via whispers.

 

Yeah, viking settings seems cool, not gonna lie

But this actually is a quite common sentiment that the last few AC games aren't really about assassins. It would probably serve Ubisoft better to just make a new IP out of it. It can be historical, they can add all the mythical parts into it too, but they can also experiment far more without some people expecting it to still be about assassins and templars fighting each others.

Anyway, for anyone buying it from Ubisoft, don't forget you can get 20% discount for 100 uplay points.

 

I agree, it would have made alot more sense to just make a game called "valhalla", and ditch the assassins creed aspect entirely.

 

I like it - but I don't think I'll enjoy it as much as Odyssey. The stealth is very odd in this one. Feels like they didn't really want it to be there, but had to because it's an AC game.
And I generally prefer to stealth my way through AC's...

Also... is there any reason why all of the Anglo-Saxon children are American? Must be Covid related...

 

Exactly, you are encouraged to play like a viking - axe and shield forward ! Would again have made more sense to just call it Valhalla, and leave it AC bit out.

 

I haven't played Origins or Odyssey as AC games either, to be honest. Stealth sure has some uses, especially in the beginning of the game, but once you get some skills and equipment you can just smash your way through the enemies. I played it like that (and liked it) in Odyssey too, since you were basically a Greek demigod and I doubt I will want to stealth through in Valhalla.

Same - very rare that i assassinated anyone. Loved playing as an ancient egyptian warrior in Origins, riding on my horse and mowing people down with my Khopesh And using bow ofc.

 

How repetitive is this game when it comes to side quests?

While completing TW3 three times and doing it all - I just never can get into the Assassins Creed series.

 

i can understand that. same for me, i liked the AC series in the past but in time they became too much of the same.
Odyssey was a good comeback, i liked it and finished it and did a lot of side content. from what iv seen in this topic so far
the game is heavy on performance so im gonna stash it for now and wait for the next summer sale.

 

This game could benefit from raytraced AO!
