Got mine on the 3rd of November. Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3070 EAGLE OC 8G https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/52577963?
i came from a gigabyte windforce gtx970 lol, both of these run real cool, hell the 970 is actually about an inch longer lol
cpu 3900x 4.4ghz oc , default MSI RTX 3070 GAMInG TRIO X, run super cold, temp very good https://www.3dmark.com/spy/15060448
For you UK and ROI lads and ladies, the MSI 3070's are in stock on Overclockers UK in large ammounts althought the price is a bit... terrible.
how can you say it sucks,so as you say they are the same and they def looks the same (the fans work differently and the heat pipes go dif directions on my 3070,970 bout half an inch llonger),that 970 still works still overclocks well and still accepts upping the voltage so there is little degrade there,so it clearly does not suck in any sense except the performance sucks tor anything above 1080p lol,im confident ill get 4 to 5 years out of this gigabyte 3070 as i did with the gigabyte 970,and so i assume the gaming variants would last just as long,to me that says its solid, not great but not sucky either lol
man playin red dead 2 on this is like wow,i would not have attempted all these dif ulra and high settings on a 970 at 1440p lol
Well is true that if you check reviews you will see that the Eagle edition has the heatsink a little weak, thinner than the Gaming edition. In price also they are like 50€ difference, so from somewhere this difference coming. But anyway you just need to setup a curve fan with MSI AB or similars and you will have like 60ºC maximum, even less Gaming version Eagle version
Officially an owner now (though I got it the day after release, but had to wait for the rest of my new build). Zotac RTX 3070 OC.....tiny card in comparison, but boosts without OC'ing to 2055.....so not unhappy with that Less happy with the placement of the power sockets though, they were properly awkward!! All in all, massive improvement over my old GTX 970 Strix......
