Try clean install of windows. You'd be surprised. After that try (or before that) in a different system entirely. If still problem RMA it. My computer mostly is a shell (has a few games installed and basic web browsing) and that's it. All my actual data sits on a local NAS so wiping OS not a big deal.
Very nice i can only imagine, hope you have a nice audio setup paired with that. I've a nice amp and good speakers, Doom Eternal sounds incredible.
Yah 120fps or higher framerates really help with motion clarity! Especially for fast paced games, shooters and racing games.
Yeah I got a high end audio setup, running a AE9 through the amp. I just sigh when I read people saying the audio has no impact in this game.
Well some good news from Gigabyte, they have just released a 450watt bios update for my card. Bad news is the flash program can't recognize my original bios to update it. Well done Gigabyte

So I just found that when enabling DSR (to 4K) and running Remnant From the Ashes, PC shutdown and start again :-/ (not touching voltage in MSI Afterburner).
@alanm I have it under Account Information. But for CPU it's just i5 10400 and Seasonic 750W FOCUS+ GOLD This also happening under undervolt, so pretty weird stuff, I had much higher loads on the card when trying various benchmarks and that didn't occurs, so I really wonder what is going on here. Will do some research later, perhaps it's something with motherboard? or as someone else told me, it's too aggressive overprotection on Seasonic PSU
Finally found a 3080, albeit its a Zotac Trinity OC instead of what I wanted which was the Strix. Not really sure what to say, coming from a 1080Ti, feels more like an impulse buy now since the 1080Ti was doing good in most games
Depends on what you're looking for. I built an entire rig solely for flight simulator 2020 so the RTX 3080 was a necessity. I don't build often my old build was 2013 with a 1070 so it was long in the tooth.
Sorry, did check your acct before posting but got this: "This member limits who may view their full profile." Anyway, I do recall an issue with the Focus line of PSUs, which on rare occasions with certain GPUs (Vega) would shut down when under heavy load. But I believe its been fixed with later versions of the PSU. Not sure if the 3080 may have issue with it. Although you may want to check with a Seasonic rep for advice (usually hangs out at Jonnyguru forums). https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/s...us-plus-psu-has-gpu-compatibility-issues.html
Anybody having issues with Apex Legends? I get worse performance than with my previous card - 1070 ti. The frames are high, but I get micro stuttering really bad every few seconds typically. Still to update my MOBO and CPU (waiting for Zen 3) but surely I shouldn't be having worse performance than my 1070??!
Good to know in case it happens again in future, thanks for the info. I reset MB bios and for now it's stable, not sure what was set wrongly.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Reportedly Gets Huge Specs Boost, Same Cores as RTX 3090 With 20 GB VRAM To Tackle AMD's Radeon RX 6800 XT RTX 3080 Ti FE: PG133-SKU15, GA102-250-KD-A1, 20GB GD6X, the same FP32 count as 3090, 10496FP32, the same MEM speed and TGP as 3080, no NVLINK. — kopite7kimi4virgil (@kopite7kimi) November 4, 2020
I get your point but the 20Gb vram part is vs 10Gb is nerf recking because in my opinion there should be more Vram on 3080 in the first place tbh.
