Well that sucks and to make matters worse, you'll have a bloody hard time getting a replacement.

    So strange.

This may be far fetched but what about a BIOS update?

I'm on the second latest BIOS that was released this year for my board. Will try the latest BIOS this weekend before shipping it back and have my money returned. Allready got it approved from the reseller.

Too bad it came to this but great that you got an RMA approval from your reseller. Hope you find a new card somewhere down the road.

    Good luck!

So now you have had the card for 3 weeks, and can get a full refund or replacement, are you going for the same again or has owning one altered your views ?

i decided to do the same, i am not too happy with its performance despite being a "premium" model.

i started the eternal step-up for a FTW3 Ultra. Thankfully evga offers this and will let me use mine until it opens up for shipping.

Yeah, it's a shame that they charged a premium and is it lesser than the founders edition. Going to order a Gigabyte 3080 Gaming OC and a TUF OC and what ever comes first stayes. Gigabyte card should have a powerlimit of 380w so should be more than enough to play around with and the tuf have 375w

The new fab 7nm process will not apply for Ampere, the GPU must be completely redesigned in order to do this. The news is obviously not credible, or NV reserved TSMC for Ampere refresh, which will not come earlier that August next year.

Oh right. Probably going to order TUF OC or GB Gaming OC and see which one comes first.

Sold Gigabyte Eagle OC and now playing with Gainward nonGS Phoenix.
So far it's noticeable in temps and in sound that Eagle got better cooling (like 10C difference)
    Will try some OC later.

Just last week we were reading the opposite on Guru3D frontpage news. Will 7nm apply to Ampere or not? Iam confused.

This Gainward nonGS is not bad, need only 0.837V for 1905Mhz (tested in Quake II RTX), will try to go lower with voltage.

I finally received evga 3080 ftw u today. Apart from some teething issues related to drivers and TV firmware I'm really happy.

Games feel better and the performance at 4k is solid compared to the 2080ti.

I'm using the OC bios as the normal would make the fans spin up and down which would sound annoying. Plus the card idle around 48-50 due to 0 fan. TBH I can't really here it on OC mode plus the card idles around 32-34 and about 72 in time spy bench.
