And they jacked up the prices by $50 ...

    Kinda expected.

So , 26% improve at 1080p ... .speculating ... let's come down to earth ... this will translate in an average of 20% at 1080p .... ( cuz AMD had the in house banches ) ... so for us moving to 1440p or 4k ... maybe 8% improve ... if the price is right I will buy one to change my 3800x to a 5800x or 5600x ... but I am eager to read HH review

It's all about the latencies and thunderbolt support for me. Would love to see a latency benchmark added for us home studio guys.

Dunno what video card that is but it's about 15-20% slower than 3080, presumably it's the best in the lineup.

Would not put it past AMD to sandbag there. It may be the 6800XT not the 6900XT

I think Zen3 is a beast, but Radeon seems to be about 10% behind 3080. But we should wait for HH's benchmarks and pricing before drawing any conclusions.

We don't know the GPU used.

Shipping November 5---ah, well, I was hoping today...;) These clobber Intel's best by a significant margin--while consuming far less power and generating far less heat. The productivity app performance will absolutely dominate the field. 60fps-88fps @ 4K with max eye-candy for the GPU is nothing to sneer at...;) Huge wins for AMD, imo. 5nm Zen 4 is already in design!

I'm preparing to be broke for awhile, though!

    Borderlands 3 rtx 3080 69fps vs 61fps rx6000

We dont know if 6900xt is used or 6800xt. You can clearly see it says rx6000 for a reason.

Zen 3 is really impressive, the uplift isn't that great vs 10900K in gaming so far but they tie and beat it so AMD can claim ST performance crown for the time being.

Though we need to see how the 5600X performs, it should be the R5 3600 value all over again and even better.

I was waiting for 5950X and gonna get it!!!

    5600X is 20% more expensive than 3600X
    5800X is 36% more expensive than 3700X
    5900X is 10% more expensive than 3900X

We still yet to see proves of 19% IPC uplift, but if so, in mainstream they did what Nvidia did with Turing - keeping same performance per cost.

If the price is right, I would take a 15% slower card for 20%? lower cost, 30%? lower power consumption and 60%!! more memory, ANY DAY of the year.

Agreed, if it was their top end, which is what I guessing they would use to show performance, it is a little behind. But to your point, if it was a lower tier card and only 10% slower than 3080, then it would be nice. Can't wait for 28th Oct.

EDIT: Looking back at it, she clearly says that this is the most powerful GPU AMD has ever built. Given that statement from Dr. Lisa Su, I think it is pretty safe at this time to assume that this was the top Big Navi, around 10% slower than 3080.

Hopefully they are able to optimize a bit more before launch.

They probably took the best one. If the price is right could be a good option in canada.

They went nuts with the pricing. $300 for a six core on par with Intel? No one is impressed.

5800x too expensive imo, at almost 100 quid more than a 10700K. 5900x is ok. I will get 5900x.
