It's a magical processor if true.
Just a couple of days left until we know for sure.

I have a 3700x but I'd be extremely interested to see the gains in games. If it can perform as well as Intel's 10th gen then I might just pick it up and flog my 3700x on Ebay. This, with my 3080 Strix on pre-order, I can sit on my build for a few years until the next chipset platform comes out and DDR5 has matured.

I'm aware just swapping out a 3700x for the final AM4 CPUs is a bit mental, but working on my PC is akin to people working on their cars or my brother with his cycling.

It's not mental at all if the gains are worth it.

Not at all mental, if i can spend £500 and get enough boost in the games i play i wont need to spend £1000 on a gpu to get the same effect.

I already was gonna buy the 3950X so i'll wait for 5950X :)

Seems like Zen 3 won't be a botch and hopefully Big Navi would be a success as well.

Looking good! Hopefully they managed to optimize the latency between CCD’s to a minimum. It’s the only reason I stuck with a Ryzen with a single CCD.

Thought it was the latency between CCX's was the issue?
I think Zen 3 has a single CCX per CCD, so 8 cores all together in a CCD for the 8 core chip. Should give it low latency between all cores.

That single core score is insane.

Can someone please show me a list of games that scale beyond 8c/16t? Because I need to goto the blood bank, and maybe other banks to ready funds for new full build with all AMD parts. I would put the whole thing in the shoebox if I have to while saving for the case.

Keeping mine till 2nd gen AM5. Then it becomes lovely 65W server CPU.

It might not be final, actually, it probably won't be. There will be Zen3+ ...Then again, you could have just had 9900K long time ago, or 10700/900 why wait? They are both "final" for their sockets.

Should have scooped up one of the 3000 series. Latency per CCX is negligible at best.

That thing is good for another 6 years, why replace it after 1 year?
